this is the ONLY VIDEO i have found that goes over the pcie cables as well!!! super super helpful, THANK YOU! i’m upgrading from a gtx 970 to a rtx 3060 meaning im going from 6 pin to 8 pin. i searched everywhere for videos installing the gpu and figuring out pcie cables (im very new to tech and bought my pc pre built with extension cables so this is all new and scary territory) thank you SO much again for the help :)

Meow did you have any problems going from a 970 to a 3060? I upgraded my power supply front a 500 watt to 850w and the pc wont boot up I can get into bios but other then that nothing happens

Thank you SOOO much for this video.. it was so easy and simple... i actually wasnt even thinking of getting a new GPU until this video was in my recommended and then once i watched im like damn i really want/need a new GPU lol so i ended up ordering it yesterday and installing it today... i got the exact one too lol the rtx geforce 3060 3x.. super simple, easy, and worth it

How do you move the taskbar thing in bing on windows 11, it moved and idk how to fix it so now all the tabs and stuff are on the left side. If you know how to move it please tell me

Thanks for the video! I'm trying to find a waterblock for this GPU. I don't want to open the one I bought in case I need to return it and pick out a different one. I've been asked to track down an image of the PCB layout or the board ID located near the PCIE. Any chance you'd be able to help me out with those?

Do you have to put the pcie cable to the motherboard and the pcie cable to the graphics card together? Or only connect to graphics card can run the machine.. I'm very beginner.

@@NextUpShoes My literal, exact upgrade path, hahah. 3060 still has the low power usage of the 1050ti. It was a huge jump forward. I think we're the bargain-minded buyers, because I always look at bang for buck. You're gonna be a happy person with that new 3060.

i just got this graphics card and now my machine will randomly restart. the card is seated correctly and the power is also in correctly. i have a msi motherboard and the graphics card, MSI RTX 3060 12g. 32 memory and my power supply is a 1000 gold modular. i am not new to building custom computers but this has me stumped. someone said go back to a older driver, and reinstall to the newer drivers, none fixed the problem still restarts randomly. Also is that MSI suppose to light up, i know on my old 1060GTX it did.

It should be the same, mine just splits so I can accommodate 6 pin models.

Typically all power supplies would have the cables for your GPU.

If you go to the PC part picker website and put in all of your components, it will give you an estimate of how much power consumption your computer will draw and give you an idea of how big of a power supply you need.

Yes, just make sure they are tied back so they don't hit any of the fans or moving components.

Typically the 3060 would have one or two HDMI ports on it depending on which brand you buy. So yes you can use the same cable.
