Do you know where I can get the electrical diagram for the Fragram 5.5kw generator (the one in the video) Neighbour of mine borrowed mine, could not get it to start (because of low oil) and started ripping the wiring out and replacing, now its a mess. need help.
Hello I know this video is 3 years old but I hope you reply. I want to add a smart switch to a home generator I know that I need a 12v dc smart switch and then connect it to both the generator battery and the engine starter My problem is how to make it work for a second or 2 untill the generator start and then cut off the 12V from the starter ? The only solution I can think of is press the button on and off respectively But am searching for a better way.
The other problem here is that aftermarket switches rarely come color coded with the same kind of color codes as the generator that they're going to. My generator colors don't match up at all with my switch
I bought one of those racing push start switches from the car accessories shop. I noticed on mine that the blue and green/white and the black and green are in a closed(shorted) position when in off state. Was yours the same?
My generator came without plug at all so I'm left with trying to figure out what goes where and then put wire connectors on the ends to fit the new key. To make matters worse the first guy that said he could install it cut the wires off the old switch so the generator has a bunch of wires hanging out of it. I guess I don't know what to guess. This doesn't really cover wiring diagrams that don't make much sense and how they go to a plug and play that doesn't plug into anything so it won't play
