Im rocking a t5500 with one x5680, 40gb ddr3, and a gtx 980. Runs fortnite season OG at high settings at 60FPS, runs beamng with high traffic and medium/high graphics around 50-60 ish. Great pc. How good would it be with a second x5680?
Hi! Thanks for tour video. On your website you mention in possible RAM : 16GB.... But Dell's spec says that the maximum ram per slot is 8gb. If I put 16gb in each slot, does it will running at 8gb max? Or it will not working at all?
For gaming, almost none. The xeon is basically an engineering chip, that can also run games. The 6 cores are more than enough for gaming, and twelve won't boost much. The gpu upgrade will make a much larger difference for gaming.

Can you use that 8 pin power cable in a GPU, I was thinking about getting a 1080ti (requires 2 8 pins) if I use the 2 6 pins to 8 pin and the 2nd CPU 8 pin would it work?
I have a t5600 with two xeon 2690s installed. I'm running into cooling problems. Both processors run really hot with the Auto fan speed option selected in bios. Not sure what do to about it?? Speedfan only manages to turn the fans all the way up and it sounds like a jet engine. I get around 100 fps in bf5 with a gtx1070 ti
Hey Vlad, here are a few things you can try: 1. Clean the heatsinks and processors and re-apply new heatpaste. We like this heatpaste: amzn.to/2TeO11O 2. Remove or manually vent your side panel. (the system may be struggling to mitigate the heat from the 2 processors and GTX 1070 Ti Graphics Card) Option 2 has worked well for us in the past.

We haven’t tried the 3070 in a T5500 yet. You might have to make some modifications to the side panel and pci brackets to physically fit a 3070 in to a T5500 chassis. Plus, there would be some strong bottle-necking. Let us know the results if you attempt the install.
