In this video I will show you how to install a Zoeller Sewer Ejector System. This is useful if a proper drain slope cannot be obtained.
Parts and tools used:
Zoeller Basin - amzn.to/3ievcZI
Zoeller Waste-Mate Sewage Pump - amzn.to/2ZnTdoG
Zoeller Check Valve - amzn.to/38g08UH
PVC Ball Valve - amzn.to/31JkMf1
Mechanical Vent - amzn.to/3iinD4b
Chipping Hammer - amzn.to/2Zi2NsU
Screwdriver - amzn.to/2qpUcVp
Utility Knife - amzn.to/2rohyJ1
Nut Driver - amzn.to/3f9peIa
ABS tubing cutters - amzn.to/2SwYuZ7
Torque Wrench - amzn.to/2F34z7u
No Hub coupling - amzn.to/2Zvd04X
Tape measure - amzn.to/37jJuSH
Level - amzn.to/37gS70i
If you can't do this yourself, I recommend Amazon Home Services to find a competent local plumber: amzn.to/2qb4xBP

Good, straightforward, constructive attitude - really appreciated. Attention to detail - excellent. You made this process easy to understand and explained it well. To viewers; Zoeller is a great company with high quality equipment. If installed properly you can't go wrong. If installed inside structure be sure to get an alarm in case pump stops working or it's malfunctioning and you'll have to either tie into existing sewer vent or install new line through roof.

Chipping hammer looks like a useful tool. Dug up the entire septic by hand put in my own sewage ejector a Rubbermaid trash can with the Everbilt Home Depot pump. It's down in the rusted out 500 gallon tank that had the original pump. I am going to fashion a lid over it all and turn it into a table.

I didn’t knew that type of pump could be used to pump sewage solids and toilet paper, I learned something new today. Definitely could off dug a bit down and mendígate the discharge pipe to be exposed so high up. Perfect temptation for a young kid to seat in top of it, or grandma Marián to trip with it. Overall, it looks like it will get the job done.

@gdiloretto2
@gdiloretto2 2 года назад
It's called "weep hole" to avoid air-lock between check valve and sump pump, another tip, when you drill it try to do it on 45 degree facing down (bottom of basin) to avoid some weird noise. If it's straight or pointing up, when servicing you can get splashed or "sprinkled", ha.

The AAV should be replaced with an actual vent pipe. As water and waste enter the basin, pressure will begin to increase. With no vent, you will likely start hearing a gurgling sound when you flush the toilet...and you will defintely start to smell sewer gases. Of course the basin will eventually empty, with a bit of a struggle given the internal pressure. Maybe I'm wrong🤔🤔

Hello, wow, this looks very close to what I am currently working on.. Just a couple questions: Do you have any clogging/backup problems with toilet solids, assuming you are using a 2 inch discharge pipe and you are not using the shark grinder pump system? What distance are you pushing ( my project is 75 feet) from the sewage pump/sump to your 3-4 inch line servicing the house?
@beaverteeth4673
@beaverteeth4673 4 года назад
Danny, sorry to confuse you. Mine, is practically the same, just 35 feet longer so I should be fine with an ejector system. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for the video. Quick question, how important is it for the sewer coming into the sump to be level for the bushing to seal? Just curious because I just paid a plumber nearly 30k for a partial replacement and re-route around and the fitting going into the sump is at probably a 22 degree angle and leaks like crazy. I'm asking because he's coming back out to add liquid rubber around it, but I feel like the sump or pump needs to be modified to get the line coming in to be straight and level. Your thoughts?

Have you ever needed to bury one of these a lot farther below grade? I am installing an outdoor kitchen island sink, and due to needing 12" distance between the foot vent and drain pipe the top of the ejector basin will be 2 feet below grade. I'm not sure how to make it somewhat accessible for maintenance.

Air admittance valves are not rated to vent sump pumps, unless of course the manufacturer okayed it for this situation. That could have been vented to atmosphere easily with a couple downturned 90's. I liked the video otherwise though.

I'm confused. It looks like the gravity system was lower than the pipes coming out of that garage. What was the need for a pump?
@How2Plumb
@How2Plumb 3 года назад
Because there was not enough slope to get from the New bathroom to the main sewer line. Therefore we had to install a sewage ejection system with that basin and from the basin it pumps into the main sewer line because this cannot be done by gravity.
