Thanks for the detailed video. I really prefer the one-sheet vinyl compared to the sewn custom-fit covers sold online, but it takes a lot of skill to make one sheet of vinyl look nice. I have the same 2000 Yamaha SUV, and it still has the original 20 year old seat covers. The covers have minor wear but the problem is that the seat is rock hard. Is it possible that old vinyl alone could be responsible for the hard seat? I'm trying to figure out if just recovering the seat with new vinyl and leaving the foam as-is would fix the hard seat.
Nice ! How about the pointed forward ends on front seat plastic that flare outward over time? I’d like to reform the seat to hug cowling like original. Any ideas?? Thanks
Your video ... at timer 1:25 your left hand is holding the forward tip of the seat that hugs the cowling when installed. Over time, the tips widen and seem to want to curl outwards. So basically I want to hold the seat by both tips and squeeze together for a closer fit to the hull once installed. Thanks again
