Thanks boss and i can't seem to be able to find it anywhere online, maybe possible to find it on facebook marketplace or something but brand new im not able to find this one anymore
I know its been a while but did it work with the steering wheel, If so which iso cable did you get as I now have the same setup but there are loads of cables. cheers.
I've just ordered a new stereo but only 1 speaker works do you know what colour the speaker wires are so i can check they're all in the socket peice properly
@@scotty1004 Power Yellow = permanent 12+ (memory) Red = switched live (ignition) Brown = earth Speakers Yellow/ brown and yellow = front right speaker Blue/brown and blue = front left speaker White/brown and white = right rear speaker Green/brown and green = left rear speaker
Thats strange ours worked and kept the time, well the other options would be find a connect 2 adaptor and get the steering wheel controls to work with your new stereo then u can set it like that, or you can just wait till 12 at night and take off the battery and reset the time that way so it will be on time
Thank you for your help, you were extremely helpful. I will tell my electrician about this, might get back to you for more help if its not a problem! Cheers!
@@MrWaheedulHaque you say on youre video you get cage with it if not can you send me a link to which cage and also what cable for antenna adapter please thanks
I assume you mean the wiring adaptor, www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252587417208 This is that, but you will still have to a tiny bit of wiring, which i honestly cant remember how to do, but theres a lot of forum posts available online that teach it easily
Hello i have a 2008 saturn astra and i want to put a radio in and keep the factory screen above hooked up do i need to buy something special for that or does it stay hooked up when putting a different radio in?
@@MrWaheedulHaque so will the factory screen above where the radio go still be hooked up for do i have to buy a separate wiring harness? Do you know by chance
@@diamontedane9656 should work fine with factory harness but might need a seperate harness if steering wheel buttons dont work if you have that but that you will only find out after buying the stereo and fitting it
Really thats very odd, ours stays on until you turn steering wheel, are you sure you pressing it down all the way, as theres one feature where if u press it lightly it signals say left 3 times then cancels out this is used for lane changes, try put a lot of pressure on and see if it stays on, might just be a faulty switch in the stalk
Try it and let me know if it not that then have a look at this forum seems a common fault on astra h, but the two we had have been fine guess we got lucky haha, www.astraownersnetwork.co.uk/threads/frequent-indicator-problem-only-flashing-once.271058/
Display doesnt work at all anymore with this system some systems will work with it but this one just doesnt, as far as the steering control buttons go, only the change song buttons works
needs this.. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CTSVX002-2-Vauxhall-Astra-H-Mk5-04-10-Steering-Wheel-Control-and-AERIAL-ADAPTOR/381764166490?hash=item58e2eae35a:g:~vQAAOSwFdtX0Yzm to use the factory steering wheels control on aftermarket radio, also keeps the display functions with aftermarket radio...allowed to change time n date, trip computer etc...
I installed 2 600w speakers to the front doors and they sound worse than the original factory ones do anyone know why.could they be to powerful for the standard head unit
@@gavin9873 it would make it better but i dont think any headunit has enough power to power a 600w speaker, easiest thing to do is wire a small amp in under glovebox out of sight out of mind haha
@@MrWaheedulHaque that would work 😁..I am just looking to upgrade speakers without having to add amplifier so I think I will return them for a pair of 300w ..thank you for the info
Hello Mister, where did you connect that red cable? In my case, I just attached it to the 12V cigarrette lighter, but the big problem is It does not shut off with the ignition key off! So the radio is always on, so imposible to keep it as it is overnight. Please how can I get 12V on/off with ignition?
i have the red wired to the ignition you will have to run a long wire to it, your 12v socket should switch off when car is off, if it doesnt then thats a bit weird haha. Other thing i can thing of is some sort of cutoff switch but thats a headache might as well just try do it to the ignition
@@MrWaheedulHaque Ok thanks,... that is the weird thing with 12v socket, what a nightmare it was today. Had to install original radio back to a customer's Astra, because of that...
@@susojotaeme our astra doesnt have any power through 12v when car is off, so it justs seems a weird thing on the specific astra u was on. but yeah best to just wire it to ignition as its fused as well
That was a pure headache took a very long time and a lot of mistakes as we have little knowledge of stereo electricals. I recommend just letting a stereo shop do it, its pretty cheap and will save you a lot of hassle, otherwise best thing to do is to check online for wiring diagram for your specific radio
MrWaheedulHaque not thanks, I have only one doubt, it was enough for me to see where you attached the yellow button, pos, you see that you don't want to help others
Please explain to me how can i help you with no electrical knowledge as i previously said, and you yourself also have no electrical knowledge, i did it with trial and error so theres not much i can teach you. The best thing is to not mess with it and pay someone who knows what they doing to do it. Like i said its very cheap to do so and doesnt take long. Otherwise you can look online for your exact radio model as all radio wirings are different which is another reason i cant help you regardless, and then look at the wiring diagrams and try do it yourself somehow
my car is the same as yours, same radio, I just need to see, the yellow cable is lighting, and the red cable is positive key, attack the red in the cigarette lighter, and the yellow one? Plsss help me in Italy they asked me a lot of money to connect
