NOTE: If you have the optional adaptive lighting feature, you may need to reach around or underneath the adaptive lighting controller to access the fog lamp.
If you have a Turbo model, you may need to remove the bumper to access the fog light connector.
If you have a 2018-2020 Q50, you may need to remove the wheel to access the fog light connector located behind the metal plate/backing.

There may be a way to bypass the deactivation wire between the high beams and fog light, however we do not have a plug-and-play product for the Q50/Q70 at this time. Sorry about that!

Hi Paul. So quick question I have a 2015 Q70L. I purchased two DRL harnesses for my Infiniti. I’m being told that I just need one harness for both sides. When I did install the harness I start it with the driver side. After installing a notice that it would only work on the driver side. Was I supposed to install on the passenger side only? Since I did purchase two harnesses I installed it on the passenger side afterwards and now it works as designed. Is the wiring harness different from the Q70 models?

Do you have the LUXE Package? I'm curious as to why you needed two harnesses to have them work properly. I see it is listed as not being compatible for the LUXE Q70L.. But I wonder if that is the work-around.. To use two harnesses.

If you have a Q70 install it on the drivers side. The passenger side has the windshield washer in the way.

What happens with the Welcome Lighting system? Do the fog lights turn on when you approach the vehicle with this mod? Also, when you unlock the car with the remote, do they turn on like the DRL's?

Can you still switch off the fog lights if you don't want them running daytime as DRL lights or does it bypass the switch so has to stay on regardless?

+JRDNGIXX Once you have this module installed you will not be able to manually turn your fog lights off since the module converts them to be "always on." If you have any further questions, just let us know!

JRDNGIXX In agreement I love that feature where you can turn on you fog lights with your parking and headlights. You guys should make a module that just unlocks the fog lamps so that you can use them with the drl, parking lights, and headlights but you can also turn it off if you decide you don’t want them on. Ford, FCA, and GM has had this feature standard since the inception of fog lights I don’t understand why every car manufacturer can’t do that.... VW Group, BMW, Mercedes, Nissan/Infiniti, Toyota/Lexus etc...

I recently got mines. And installed it . But the foglights does not come on with the DLR’s . Anyreason why? Followed instructions and checked all plugs . And still no fog light

+dreamreaper3k This module only changes the fog light to come on as a DRL. It doesn't affect the operation at night. It will still operate the same way it does from the factory. If you have any other questions, just let us know!

Diode Dynamics I just bought a salvage 2017 Q50 3.0t and I went to the mechanic to get new brakes and he said my car is actually a 2.0t even tho it says “3.0t” on the side of my car. So how do I actually know if my car is a 3.0t or 2.0t?

@@gshock0155 That's a great question! We aren't familiar with the exact differences between the 3.0t or 2.0t, aside from the powertrain. You might try speaking with an Infiniti dealer!

I know this is for the Infiniti Q50 which is the international model for Nissan, but would this also work for the JDM models? I have the same car but they call it the Nissan Skyline 350GT

Wish there was a harness to turn the fogs on/off independent of the headlights. Couldn't you modify this harness to only turn the fogs on by means of a separate switch?

+Nismo9132 This module only turns the fog lights on when the DRLs are on. We do not have plans to develop a module to turn the fog lights on independently because, unfortunately, there is no way to do so without interfering with the BCM. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact us!

Agree - I want independent control of the fog lights. Ford's been doing it for decades, why can't Nissan understand the customer needs. I like to run parking and fog lights at dusk/dawn. It makes you very visible to other drivers without blasting them with headlights - it's a safety thing! ....And it looks cool!

Not in with a modern Nissan that I'm aware of. What are you driving? In both my Infiniti's you can turn the fog light switch but they won't come on until you turn on the headlights.

off topic..... but how can i adjust my 1 fog light to have that real sharp beam line? i noticed it when i pulled up to my garage. its a bit off. thanks

For focus, we would recommend rotating the collar on the bulb (if you can do so). Typically the filament (or LEDs if you have them) should be facing directly to the sides. Then, we would adjust your aim up at down. We have a video explaining how to properly do this on our Instagram feed!

@@miketorre16 The video we have is a general aiming video (where any fog light beam should be aimed). We do not have one specifically for the Infiniti. However, your owners manual should have aiming instructions. Usually it's a screw. You can use these instructions and the video on our page to get the right aim!

Grigor Atikian Grigor Atikian it should because the drls comes on even when the switch is in auto and since the fogs are now in circuit with the drls then they should work as additional drls. And since drls run as long as the cars is on, even in auto, there shouldn't be any issues. Your headlights will just come in when it gets dark. I think he turned it to off to make sure(since the fogs work with the headlights) that it's was the drls running the fogs and not the headlights. With the headlights off and the fogs still running then we are certain the are running with the drls.

Not sure if it's just my Q50S but when I go to connect to the fog light harness under my wheel well looks way different than yours. I have a much larger metal box and it does not have that heat sink on it like the one in the video. I also don't see any connector that resembles the one I'm supposed to be connected to.

Diode Dynamics I actually found the location of the harness it was directly underneath that metal housing. I had to remove the bottom plastic to access it. You can't get to it via the wheel well. I'm thinking it's because I have the Technology package so there's more gadgets under there.

@@dderhammer I just did mine too and also found a metal square box blocking the fog light connector, but as you said I just removed five 10mm bolts from the cover on the lower part of bumper and could access the connector. 👍🏼

With the new indicators that are sequential and can be used as drl, they look much better than the fog lights. Imo the fogs are out dated and don't worth with the face of the car nor match the streamline of the headlights.
