I have a 1998 Mercedes C230, The radio was busted, so I went to the junkyard and was able to find the exact radio, but it was off a 1994 vehicle, so to get the code I had to go all the way back to the junkyard which was 40 miles for me, and get the Vin number off the car in junkyard, But it works now and I’m very happy, I got this Mercedes for $250 and it is in very nice condition

You could send the old unit to “Becker Auto Sound “ in NY .They manufacture the stereo for Mercedes and they repair units and can add Bluetooth also in case you like the look of the old unit for the car . Just an idea 👍

We're you planning on securing the mounting sleeve to the opening? Also, I can't believe for a second that an R129 happened to have the exact same working harness with the exact same pinout as your Amazon radio. There's some serious misrepresentation if some critical installation steps here.

Hey Mike, Did everything work after changing the radio? Power antenna, Sub woofer and door speakers?

You need to check the wires are in right place ie left front speaker and most importantly the 12v ignition supply you could burn your ecu out just because the plug fits don't mean the wires are right
