As a note, you do actually need the GPS antenna if you are using the navigation built into the unit. The GPS does not actually work without a GPS antenna as there is no internal GPS antenna in any of the Seicane head units. It can be discreetly hidden under the dash, but it is 100% necessary if you are planning to use any of the navigation features of your head unit. GPS is from Satellite, so it is definitely not stronger in city areas. In fact, in city / urban areas that are built up, your GPS will see less satellites than in rural areas. GPS does not work from terrestrial signals like mobile tower triangulation.

Cool! I look forward to it. Your head unit is basically the same base that I ordered but for my Mazda 3. So it’s great to know that it lasted that long for you. Some people mentioned that it’s needed to connect the unit to a 12V amp to get the sound to work... we’ll see how it goes 😂

What I find amusing is the fact that the only people who have problems with Seicane Android screens are people who connect iPhones to it thinking that it'll work flawlessly. Android and Apple products will rarely play nice together.
So I may have missed this detail, but is this head unit only for your Suzuki or will it work with other make and models like a dodge or something? My mind is blown by how incredibly simple and easy it was to install, literally "plug and play". And it fit right in to your dash with no issue. I want this for my daily driver (2008 dodge stratus)
Omg finally a RU-vidr with 1gb head unit, all the other RU-vidrs have a 4gb or higher unit so seicane is misleading people by giving those youtubers a free better unit to review. people have said the 1gb unit are buggy and slow. I ordered one without knowing these facts, it's still on shipping status.....How is your unit holding up, do you have any issue. Is it slow and laggy And does it freeze. Instead of the 9inch unit likes yours I have the 10inch unit but it's the same specs as yours.
Ah cool, now I sorta know where your catchy intro comes from. Technically you can go fully Bananas with a android head unit. Use your prefered music player, themes, launcher, apps etc. I can't wait until I can get my first car to do something like this.

You did not have problems with your SX4's car battery life? After installation of a bluetooth system in my SX4. My car battery kept on running flat overnight even after a new battery. I was not happy...
have you replaced a power window regulator for your sx4. im trying to find a video tutorial and cant find one. i can get the door panel off but my window on passenger side is stuck in the down position. tried pushing it up but wont budge. wondering if you have any ideas. THANKS

hi, i bought one two months ago. But steering whell control not work. They said setup the CAN TYPE SET ( From the menu : System Setting > Factory Setting > Factory Setting(Tap) > Password 1617 Confirm > Can Type Set (From Left) > Can Type Set > ????? Here is the problem .. There is no Suzuki SX4 So i cant chose the proper can type. ) i think because of this ( false can type set) steering wheel control not work. i saw that your seicane is start with Suzuki Logo. Did yu do that ? or it is setup from factory ? Anyway, could you write me the which Can Type selected in your seicane.

FM radio performance, I want to know whether it can catch clear stereo sound or not ? 2. How about sound quality when playing music and FM radio ? I was contacted as well. In talks to get a radio now for my WRX. Only problem is they want exact radio bay measurements and a picture of my factory plug. Odd since it's standard double DIN and I'll have to use a wiring adaptor either way. At any rate, hopefully I'll get one soon!
Maybe they just haven't worked with your year of wrx, since it's a bit older and they wanna be certain it fits right? They are a bit funky sometimes, but nice overall. Hope you get it soon too :)

How do you get the sound when playing media/video files? I have radio sound but not media sound/youtube. Does that audio need rca video connectors out to be connected? If yes, where do i connect it to?
Hello, I have one small problem. In my sx4 there was better factory radio with navigation. So it has a cable to integrated GPS antenna which I can connect to the new radio. I theory thats good, but I cant disconnect the GPS antenna connector so I can remove old radio. It's seems like it's mounted from both side, so I have to disassemble the whole radio to just get it out. The problem is, the radio is sealed with very small torx security screws. Can't open it with my toolbox which has several torx sizes.

Hi, yeah I have seen the negative reviews. I can only speak of my particular case of course and it was really positive. I'm using the unit on a daily basis and there are no major issues. It's pretty smooth and fast. Bluetooth does disconnect sometimes at random and you just need to connect again, but I've seen that happen with high end OEM units too. Maps work great too, they lag once in a while, but that happens on most Android phones too. All in all, considering the price I am super happy with it, really improved my daily drive and the look of my daily driver's interior.
@@eirikpedersen9617 You must have connected something wrong or accidentally disconnected a cable or cut it. Get back in there and carefully check everything, electric connections can be tricky. Although I don't get how you could have messed up the back lights, I don't see how any of their wires would be in the center console area, but you cam never know.
@@eirikpedersen9617 Its one of the black wires, when plugged in to the car one of the blackwires is conected to your dashbord lights. Solution is to disconnect that black wire so it doesnt make contact with the dashbord wire.

Honestly no real complaints. Sometimes the unit doesn't remember the screen brightness setting if I don't drive the car for a few days. Navigation is pretty good but it does lag a bit at random, not often tho. The stock radio app doesn't display station names but I solved that easily and just got a different app from the playstore. Honestly it's quite a bit better than I expected. Sorry I don't know what time pay for internet is.

Hi, the unit is still holding up great. No issues really. The 1GB ram was never a problem for me, but I also don't run any demanding apps on it. I use Bluetooth music, and radio mostly and navigation sometimes. If you need to use apps that require a lot of RAM you can always mirrorlink to your phone and impress passengers :)

How easy was it to configure steering wheel controls? I still couldn't teach my SEICANE head unit, and my steering wheel controls have been useless for the past 2 months!
Man I have 2 question. I see you have SUZUKI car, i have also but different one, so I want to know, can you plug in 2 cameras on that new android? I already have one in the back for parking, but I would want to have one more in the front, because it is a suv so I don't see very good in the front when I try to park in tight spaces. Also I want to know, can you plug in TPMS sensors on that android, i have those in my tires, but I would like to have it on the big screen, if you know that information? Thank you.
I'm really not 100% sure as I didn't make or design the unit, I just did an install and review video. I think both of those options may be possible but it's best to get in touch with Seicane directly for the actual details.
