Thank you for the helpful video. I recently installed a wired invisible fence. However, I have a small yard and even with the range turned down to the lowest setting, I am still losing a significant amount of my yard (`5 ft from the wire). I have a physical fence and I am attaching the invisible fence to keep my dogs from jumping over the fence. I would like to step down the range more. Is this possible? Is there anything I can do to reduce the range further?

Hello Andy! Thank you for reaching out. You should be able to dial down the field width. Some systems have a booster switch. If yours does and it is switched to the high position then it will be difficult to dial down the field width with the fine tune adjustment. So you’ll want to make sure the booster switch is in the low position. This is of course if it has one. Which brand and or model fence system are you using? Adam- Outdoor Pet Solutions

My dog isn't phased by electricity. The place i moved into had one installed already, it makes me wonder if i could use this video in order to find where the wire is in the ground to remove it? The one that is installed is a older one with a huge bulky box that looks more like a vacuum cleaner or a dust collector for a shop than it does a power for shock collar.

Hey there @KingKatura! Invisible fences are designed to train and teach your dog their boundaries. The “shock” of the collar won’t keep your dog in the yard, simply the training. You could attempt to remove the wire that is underground but there really isn’t a reason to do so. You can simply choose not to use the system and just leave the wire in the ground. The wire itself is not carrying any real electrical current. It’s simply producing a radio signal that the collar is tuned to. Hello! I’m sorry I’m not familiar with any installers in your area. You could reach out to a local landscape lighting company and see if they would be interested in installing the system for you. They have the same equipment to install the fence. The kit comes with complete installation instructions. As well as the training guide to help you with the training process.
