How to Install an NBT EVO ID6 in a BMW i3 in Under 60 Minutes! 

Wow!!! This is the most exiting car I have ever own. I want soo bad. I live in Miami ... can you please tell me where I can have it some one installing it for me ... it looks easy enough ... but I am a little scared.

For the BMW i3 is there any loss of functionality that the old ID4 had? Like comms with the My BMW app? Reverse camera with parking sensors? The SOS button? Does the upgrade include 4G instead of 3G? Will it include maps for my country Australia?

Hey Mack, can I purchase the voltage converter by itself? My 2019 i3 came with NBT EVO CarPlay and all from factory. I bought a used 10.25 screen from a 2014 i3 but I I’m getting a NO SIGNAL message on the screen. Do you think I need the voltage converter? Please let me know. Thank you.

Do you know if this requires the $80/year BMW subscription to keep CarPlay active, or does it count as the just-announced-today lifetime-active (that used to be $300)? Does the new head unit include the DVD drive? If so, can it be used? I'm thinking of re-mounting the head unit horizontal instead of vertical and cutting a hole in the "front bottom section" to add the DVD slot facing the front of the vehicle, or maybe facing "up" and adding a slot beside the rear seat cup holders. On the web page for this unit, it specifies that remote "BMW Connected" *may* work after the upgrade... If those functions work now, would they continue to work after? Or does are BMW Connected services run through the head unit, so replacing it would confuse BMW about how to communicate with the vehicle? (Is the 2015 i3's 3G modem replaced with a >2015 style LTE modem? From my understanding, the TCB is what contains the modem in the older i3, which you replace with the other module. Would I just swap the SIM over?) Related, with the addition of WiFi for CarPlay to work, does it allow for WiFi hotspot use? (More important if it does replace the modem.)
