Excellent video. My first one worked like a charm!! It was a little difficult getting the flexible heat shield off though. Mine seemed to be glued harder.

Fantastic work! The repetitive music drove me crazy after 30 seconds but muting was easy enough. Great job editing and the text boxes were super useful

Sorry! It was far easier and faster to add music than to record voice over without the proper environment.

@@tudorsandu6559 how much did you pay? PCBWay quoted me $57 for the boards, that's fine, but $30 for assembly and $98 for the components! That's $185 in total, a bit steep..

All went well until final reassembly, when it would not power up. The cover plate over the pcb is aluminum and appears to ground components. I placed tape between the board and cover, then attached the cover using only the screw that goes into plastic and doesn't go through the board. Now all works well.

I've heard about that issue. Mine had plastic covers, so the re-assembly was a lot easier.

That seems to add up to $176 for 5 at PCBWay. Am I missing something? £35/each + cost of donor nest mini seems high. I'm not complaining, just asking if I've got that right?

JLC PCB should be cheaper but I haven't managed to order there yet.

@@maciejgawda8178 were you able to order? When I've tried they were missing parts and giving me the following error: "The below parts won't be assembled due to data missing. R23,R25,R28,R30,TP4 designators don't exist in the BOM file. *DESIGNATOR designator don't exist in the CPL file."

Salut. As vrea sa renunt la apple homepods. Aceasta pare o solutie foarte eleganta in comparatie cu alte proiecte esp32 pentru HA. Nu ti-a mai ramas vreo placa? As vrea si eu una pentru teste. Contra cost, desigur. Ca nu vreau sa astept sa vina 5 bucati din china si sa-mi dau seama ca nu merita.
