I am a software colleague, but this layer of technology is unknown to me. I found this how-to while trying to restore a broken M.2 SSD. It's simply lavish. It includes content, structure, flexibility, and insight. My beginner self is not alone, I am not lost in this jungle. If you are even slightly interested in the topic of SSD, watching this video is already an experience. Thanks - I sincerely congratulate you.

2 different interfaces and a few different technologies, one based off of SATA, SATA can only go up to let's say 600MBps, Read and Write (Up to, not sure where you got 25Thousand from), then you have M.2, which doesn't rely on a cable, has NVME, which connects the M.2 slot to the CPU, improving its over all speed and response time, then it is M.2 which allows for direct connection to the motherboard, allows for a much smaller foot print over a SATA 2.5" drive, and bringing that all together is faster, because of it all, up to 3,500MBps. Here I show you speed differences: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aHVCmkm67q8.htmlsi=2qg7rJRWB72ib9Xr It's a laptop, but it's the same thing as a desktop, just smaller.

@@ThisBytesForYou I really wasn't sure about it, but have been AMAZED at all the aspects of HOGWARTS LEGACY. Its one of the finest games I've ever played. GREAT graphics, mysteries, puzzles...and of course battles. With the new GPU, I upgraded to the ULTRA setting, and all I can say is WOW. Thank you again, my friend, for all your help and great video lessons!!! 😃😃😃😃😃😃
awesome bud, I have been told byu many people that it is a great game, i just don't have time to play games anymore, kinda sad, does it have a built in benchmark? Always a pleasure my friend.
My wife uses her PC to play sims and filled up her 500g hard drive between the game and mods. I’m pretty sure she has to have her game and mods on the same drive right? If that’s the case then would the best approach be to install the ssd drive and install sims on the new drive instead of the old one? Then move all of her mods and added content to the same drive?
More than likely yes, most people never check to see where their games and apps go installed, they just install them. nothing wrong with her hahah, we all do it. Having games on a second drive is the best, but there is no perfect way to move them, I always recommend to uninstall them and reinstall them. There are ways to move them, that I dont recommend because they are sloppy and lead to a bad experience when you game.
Quick question...installing a larger PSU keeps things cooler, right? Or does it not make much difference? I'm thinking it makes thr computer cooler, because its not working as hard.
it can if you are pulling close to the max of the power supply and the efficiency as well. Also, cooling is a big thing, if your system runs cooler, you use less power, if your system runs hotter, it pulls more power, so you want to make sure you have adequate cooling. In case your cooling isn't the best, this may help: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-J5m5WBlPkfc.html

Hey, I've got an issue but before I tell you, man, I'm really impressed by how you actually answer all comments! Very impressed! So my issue is that right after I install Windows 10 on my M.2 SSD (not 11) I don't get a Windows Boot Manager. I think it's really strange, but I'm guessing there might be a setting in the BIOS that is causing a problem. Do you have any advice?
Always a pleasure my friend, without you, without my fans, and subscribers I am nothing, so I find it horrible to channels that don't reply, you are literally who we are recording for. As for the M.2, are you set to UEFI or legacy in the BIOS and depending on the board, you need to have CSM disabled or set to Auto. Also, make sure you update your BIOS, then try again
@@ThisBytesForYou I'm using the ROG Z390-F. I couldn't find a UEFI setting outside of the CSM options, so I've tried with both CSM disabled and CSM enabled but with all options set to UEFI only. I updated the BIOS and the SATA driver but it didn't solve the problem. Is there a UEFI setting that I am missing?

I just rebuilt the USB installation and tried the install again and the the install does not recognize the hard drive, fyi, this is an HP laptop that had windows 11 upgraded from 10 but started having issues I could not fix so I bought a new WD SA510 to install windows 11 on but the drive is still not recognized, could it be a bios issue?@@ThisBytesForYou
i put the original drive back and tried to do a complete install on it with the same result, the drive is recognized in the bios but not in windows install, also diskpart does not recognize either drive
So, did you install windows, then if you selected your drive after you installed it, you didn't select the windows boot manager. If you don't that, you don't have uefi enabled.

I just got a second M.2 drive…installed it and got it to show up in Disk Management…the next day I turn on my PC and it is not showing anymore!…what do I do??? My motherboard is the ROG Strix B550-F Gaming Wi-Fi…the main M.2 drive is the WD SN850 1Tb in the top slot…the new drive is the WD SN850X 2Tb in the bottom slot…I’m running Windows 11 all drivers and Bios are up to date…please help!
What cpu do you have? The problem is the board along with most CPU's have 20 PCIE lanes, 16 for your GPU and 4 for one of the 2 M.2 drives, all 20 taken up. If in your BIOS, you have the Gen4 slot taking up 16 lanes, it can't split it into 8, see if you can set your PCIEx16_1 Mode into Gen3, see if that helps or setting your PCIE16_2 Bandwidth Bifuraction Configuration to PCIe RAID mode but this is dependent on your CPU.
so you should be good, make sure you update to the latest BIOS version make sure the m.2 lanes are x4 and also make sure the m.2 slot is properly seated @@xantech42
