How would you configure it so the NAS just sits on your router and ANY device, Windows, Linux, Smart TV, etc. can access the data in the data set in the pool?
Apologies, I was away for a few days. Yes, TrueNAS Scale is free, however, you can opt for Enterprise support options. That said, for my homelab, I've been happy with the community support options available. (Community Forums etc). Thanks!
@@BIsForBudget do u think it is allso possible to add HA & clustering features with this edition by just having acess to the truenas api? 2nd is it true that there ditching away truenas core?
@@jirehla-ab1671 TrueNAS Scale, does offer several types of clustering. However, the minimum requirement was 3 nodes, so I did not implement this solution in my home lab. Sorry, I don't have details. I did read an article recently that Core is in the "sustaining" phase, whereas Scale is getting new features and updated components developed.
