Have the copper colored one, and like it a lot! If you hold the on/off button down for about ten to fifteen seconds, it will go into cleaning mode. I fill the reservoir with white vinegar/ water then hold the on/off button down. It will fill up the cup where the ice is made, empty it out, then repeat it again over and over for about a 1/2 hour. It cleaned all the gunk out that was in there. Drain, wipe out, and its ready to make ice again :). Enjoyed your video have a great day!!!!

Thanks for this! I’m house sitting for some folks and they have one of these but I had no idea how to use it. This made it super easy and made me unafraid of messing up someone’s ice maker by not knowing how to use it. Enjoying a cocktail on ice now! Cheers!

Super answered all my questions, including whether this is also an ice chest that keeps the ice there when you need it ( that's a big no) But can just put some in a zip lock for our big freezer. Solves the " no ice maker in the landlord's 100 year old fridge" issue. Thanks for all the time you spent on this informative video!

Hey MrJoannamalandruccol! Thanks for reaching out! Yeah I should have added the noise level. The noise level is actually quiet. In my opinion, from 1 to 10 (10 being super loud annoying), this Ice Maker is about a 3 (You hear the fan).

Hi! Does your ice maker recycle the water to remake ice after it has melted in the ice tray? I bought the same model. Once the ice tray is full and not regularly used, it will melt then collect a large pool at the bottom and stops it from making ice. I have to manually scoop the water out: most of the time when I need it, it’s just a pool of water. Is yours the same?

Hello Yesenia! Thanks for reaching out. It's definitely not like "Freezer" type Ice. I think the ice from this Frigidaire will melt faster than your ordinary Freezer. And I don't believe you can adjust the temperature settings, unfortunately. Maybe for a future model that will happen. Hope this info helps!

I found that using ours which is a slightly different Frigidaire model, the ice is definitely more frozen in the colder months than summer.

Hey Love Cato! By any chance, is your ice maker close to other items? That's what happened to me. Make sure the Ice maker Stays away from any other item or surface because the FAN of the ice maker needs to do its job. Hope this helps!

Hey Vd-lu Transition! I only unplug it if I know i'm not gonna use it for a week or longer. If I don't use the ice maker for a day, I honestly just leave it plugged in the wall, but i obviously turn the machine off. Nothing bad happened to mine when it was plugged in during non use. So yeah to answer your question, It does still work when i leave it plugged in.

Hello Ashley! Good question, I honestly didn't time it exactly, but if i were to guess the ice would melt in a few hours (Maybe 5 to 6 hours) depending how hot your environment is. Do you live in a very hot area?

Yes arizona!! But its cool inside i was wondering if the inside acts like a freezer and is cold? I plugged mine in after watching your video and I love it! If the ice melts it just drips back down to make more ice 😂

Well guess what, I misplaced my instructions already. I got mine as a Christmas gift then was sick for 2 weeks before I could try my new machine. So thank you for making this detailed video. I didn’t even know where to pour the water in😂. BTW my first row of large cubes dropped to the bin at about 8 minutes

Hey Luna! Sorry for the Late Response. Anyways, sorry that you're going through a tough time with the Ice Maker. The only thing that i could think of that may hinder the ice from coming out faster is that the unit may be to close to the wall from the back, or other items on the sides of it. Just make sure it's not close to anything. Hope this this helps and best of luck!
