Just bought a second hand G2 for my Colorado long bed with no instructions. This video definitely answered all of my questions about the install and operation. Thank you!
Instead of removing the covers to insert the drain tube, why not drill a whole in them a tad bigger than the tube and insert it through the hole? I think that would look cleaner.
For the drain hoses, rather than use a screwdriver to remove the plastic plugs and scratch the paint on the truck, drill a 5/8 inch hole and the hose fits perfectly. (Instructions got my mX4 said 7/8...way too big, 5/8 was perfect when I did my install). Those plugs are a few cents to replace. Also, it appears the cover needs to come back a bit but mine was a MX4 so that might be ok for the G2.
Just installed this on my 2017 silverado and your video was very helpful, thanks. My only concern is where the water flows once it leaves the drain tubes. When looking from underneath it appears the steak pocket the tube goes into does not daylight anywhere. Looks like the water may be just pooling in the body somewhere which could cause rust. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
Khiaras Law: We do apologize, but we are not quite sure what your question is exactly. Are you asking if this cover will work if your truck bed has been Line-X sprayed in liner. If that is the question, then the answer is yes, it will work.
@@Realtruck i have th exact same one but it is branded Truck Gear by Line X reason am asking have not been able to find it in order to replace one of the rods
Khiaras Law: www.linex.com/contact-us is their website. Their contact phone number is 877-330-1331. We are sure they would love to help you get that issue resolved.
