Question? Do I need to reset after changing new battery. If not,I can do it my self. If reset required than I have to take to mercedes dear and it would be very expensive and I don't wanted that. Help please. Thanks.
Thanks, after replacing my battery I thought I would add this... 4:00 pulling that forward about three inches will unclip the top section and give enough access to get the battery out and room to remove/reinstall the bolt and clip which holds the battery down. Just keep wiggling that negative cable eventually it will come out that was the hardest part for me...
@@ningliu8185 I just pulled the battery forward and the mass of the battery unclipped the top two tabs an spread open the box the battery was sitting in. Then I lifted it out of the enlarged opening using the handle on the battery. The new battery went in through the same opening once seated I closed the box opening by inserting the tabs the corresponding slots and locking the box into the original position
@@ericfraser7543 Thanks a lot, Eric! I was able to replace the battery without removing the plastic box, but then I couldn’t reinstall the side metal piece. I guess I have to unclip the box by pulling the battery forward like you said. That’s the only way to reinstall the metal piece.
my engine light is on with a code P0562 (system voltage low) after replacing the main battery. The new battery voltage is above 13V. With engine on, the voltage is above 14V. Engine starts normal. I tried to erase the code with my old scanner, but it would not clear. Everything is working normally. Do I need a mercedes scanner to reset?
...but wait --- how do you know if it's the big battery or the auxiliary battery inside the car under the carpet on passenger side THAT needs to be replaced 😭😭😭 Should I just replace BOTH?
If your car doesn’t start it’s the main car battery under the hood. If your having interior electrical issues it’s the auxiliary battery. I’d recommend replacing both that way you don’t have to constantly replacing each on different years.
If you’re looking for the exact fitment as the OEM for your 2015 CLA 250 this is the battery to get. DieHard Platinum AGM Battery, Group Size H7, (850 CCA/ 80.0 AH/140 min reserve capacity )
Everybody forgets to mention that mercedes batteries typically need to be registered with your pcm to have proper communication. Otherwise you can have engine, trans and other issues.
