How to Install Cab Lights(2015-2019 Chevy/GMC) 

Thank you for sharing! I own a 2007.5 GMC Sierra 1500 pickup crew cab short bed 4x4 and I already installed and mounted the clearance lights and wiring I made myself. I have been poking and prodding my driver's side dash wiring for a hot wire to tap into and can't find any. Then I watch this video and it becomes the exact answer that I've been looking for all along. Little speaker plug will be added. Now to get the wire all the way back across to the passenger side. Not sure if you can add a note to your video, but it may be helpful to note that it DOES matter which direction you plug the wire coming from the light into the harness. I have a 2018 2500 and was just switching out the lens colors. Plugged everything in and buttoned it up (foolishly) then realized none of the lights came on. After an hour or so I tried flipping the connector the other direction and they worked. Tricky because they will fit both ways. Unsure if this is the case for all years but assume so for 17-19 at least

By any chance do you know where do get one of those connectors that are actually in the passenger side fuse panel, or a part number?

Can you tell me the number of the wiring harness, and can you change a burned out bulb

Can the visor-light power be used to power these?

When tightening the bolts down. Does the 4 legged “washer” completely spread flat? Or how tight did you go? The instructions for the lights does not specify.

Are you sure about measurements? 4.5 back from edge of glass will put me inside support frame on inside. looks to me like 7 inches to center. not sure????

those self tapping screws tend to loosen with vibration .. better fit some riveted nuts and use allen bolts ..

I got those cab lights and they last about a year and I got sections of the center light don't work and they look like a gray color in the day time on the exterior plastic they are junk This video is 3 yrs. Old how do yours look ?
