Just installed these and had to take them off the upper control arms and put them in the correct position. The part I am talking about is the base piece that you press in the bottom of the control arm that holds the SPC ball joint in place. I know that you said that your suppose to line up the bottom piece in line with the "dot" on the upper control arm, but that isn't correct at all. I called SPC and Doug told me that the "dot" or manufacture marking is for Honda when the press the stock ball joint in the upper control arm. Then he said to just install them as you see fit. So I just installed the base press plate in straight and tested it with the ball joint in for proper movement and it has worked out a dream. All in all your video is great and a huge help, and I thank you for it as it is a good install video. Just wanted to let you guys know about this that want to install these SPC joints on your cars in the future.
convex is the term you were looking for describing the outward curved adapter. & the best way to remember which is which would be to remember that concave is like a "cave" & having a outward protruding bump on the noggin can be quite "vexing", lol!

Add'l tip: if ur doing it on a 92-95 Civic after you take off the rubber boot, the is a circle clip at the underside top you want to remove first (this clip is what keeps the ball joint from pushing out thru the top). This will make it alot easier, u may not even need C-clamp cuz it will come out. After you remove it, u "may" need to sand or shave the inner circle opening "a little" like 0.4 mil so that it doesn't bend anything while Camberkit going in but stil
You will first need to buy new shocks that allow you to lower the car. These are typically called coil overs. There are several brands out there. I have Megan Racing shocks. After 50,000 miles I still like them. Then after you lower the car I suggest putting the camber kits on. These make it so you DON'T have negative camber. If you want negative camber you just need to prepare to buy a new set of tires every year or so.
I asked Big-O Tires where they get the kit. They directed me to their wholesaler. I was able to get the kit 50% cheaper from the lowest priced kits on the internet.
Hey man i have a question for you. I have a 98 acura 3.0 cl with the same ball joints and k-sport coilovers. However, whenever i drive over dips in the road my ball joint on the upper control arm hits my fender wall. do you know how to stop this or whats causing it?

@paddetail Nope. There is just enough clearance. I also have adjustable coilover shocks so I can adjust the height of my car. You will need to play around to find out how low your car can go yet still be functional.
Good video, but since you already removed your strut, why didn't you just take your a_arm off? It would have just taken 2-3 minutes and would have made the pressing much easier. Just asking, works either way.
you could just buy the camber kit that includes the upper control arms and skip all of this extra work as all you do is switch out the upper control arms and your done.
@MrChristurmental I got it from a direct buyer, the same place BigO Tires gets them from. I just asked them where the warehouse was that they get them from and then I went there. Instead of buying them for $115 from BigO I went direct.
no, a camber kit corrects negative camber. If you have negative camber your tires are going to wear out very fast (like 20,000 miles). So if you are okay with paying $800 for new tires every year that is fine.
Hey on the rotors did you have 4 bolts holding it in? An if so did you take them out? Cause on my car I have them and they machined my new rims to fit in the extra grooves and I need my tires rotated and don't wanna pay again to have them cut

i have tein lowering sping on my accord and i have terrible front wear tire because the car is drop 1 inch and a quarter .do you think the front camber kit will solve the problem?
I am installing a camber kit on my RSX type S and I will be doing the alignment myself at school, we have everything we need including lifts and the alignment software and everything. I have done a couple of them but this time will I be messing with the rear amber kit or is it just the two bolts that I am suppose to use with the little lobes on them?
i have an 02 accord sedan on stock struts but with eibach lowering springs. my ride height went down 2 inches and im going through front tires like a mad man. every 2,000 miles theyre worn to threads on the inside. Ive read on forums just to adjust the toe but ive gotten a front end alignment and it still continues. im thinking this camber kit is just what I need.
I have a honda accord 03 coupe, It was in an accident and bought it without knowing bout that. I was told by Sears that i need a camber, but will the process be the same? and do i need to do anything else beside just installing that piece?

I need a camber kit for a 07 Yaris according to the shop after alignment check; what does that mean? Any recommendation for a camber kit? Can I buy one than take it to a shop for them to install it? Thanks in advance.
I would see what the shop recommends, then buy them and bring it to the shop. Then you don't have to pay the premium for the shop buying the part. In my case, I found out the wholesaler where the shop gets their parts and bought them for a 40% discount.
chefigo Was the shop angry at you? How did you find out where they bought it from? I would assume that a shop would be resentful in telling you. I just bought some online for really cheap and either install them myself than get alignment at the shop. Thanks.
Now, it would have been easier to take the upper control arm off of the car and pressed the ball joint out on a vise instead of coming up with the pipe extention thing. Work smart not hard.
bunch of hella flush fanboys dont even know what you're talking about. no shit no ones wants positive camber, you want zero degrees of camber, maybe -0.5 degrees. theres no point in having a camber kit if you want negative camber because lowering the cars ride height gives you a ton of negative camber anyways. a camber kit is to restore camber back to factory specs. /rant
