In today's video, I will show you How To Install CHROME OS on Legay BIOS /MBR laptops or PCs. You can also dual boot with Windows 10 or Windows 11, if your device is MBR/Legacy, and as long as you have more drives in your PC/Laptop. Hi The Artmann, thank you for the video you posted, great videos and clear explainations. I am wondering if Chrome OS can be installed from DVD, or boot Linux from DVD then install it from USB which I saw there are so many issues with USB boot on the legacy systems.

As to burn Linux or chrome on an actual DVD? You need an ISO file for that.. lucky for you that's what I'm working now. My next video will be about a Linux Mint+Chrome OS 2in1 ISO. Please subscribe so you won't miss the video. Cheers!

Chrome OS cannot be installed on devices with ULV CPUs (ex: i3-5005U or i5-6300u). You have a ULV CPU and most probably you CAN'T install Chrome OS on it. But you can run Chrome OS from a USB as a live CD. So, there's at least that.

Hi thank you for sharing! I wonder what's the difference between this and using Clover to boot from UEFI. I haven't tried either yet. BTW, I am computer illiterate. Not sure if my question is phrased right though.

I don't believe you are a "computer illiterate" if you are asking about Clover and Chrome OS. A "computer illiterate" would just follow the tutorial without questioning (because you know.. no knowledge and all that) and hoping not to mess a letter in a command otherwise the whole system would crash and burn. That's what a "computer illiterate" would think and do anyway.

Hi. U can't install drives on chrome os. And graphics cards (Nvidia AMD) are not compatible at all.. just internal graphics card. For wifi you can try the fixes fromy video "How to Fix Chrome OS" from my Chrome OS playlist

The AMD one is 100% not supported and the Atom depends how old is it. If it's Baytrail family or later then is should be good. If it's older then not. Check out my video "Why you CAN'T install Chrome OS on your device" from my Chrome OS playlist to learn how to check if your CPU is compatible with Chrome OS or not and if it is, then how to check which Chrome OS recovery image is the right one for it.

That's 2nd gen. 2nd gen is not compatible with Chrome OS. Im pretty sure I mentioned that in the video... And if I didn't, then I 100% mentioned the compatible CPUs. And 2nd gen is not one of them

Because Flex has nothing to do with Chrome OS. Flex is... what's the word... Scum... sh&&... And you cannot say that fyde os worked if you cannot finish intalling it. that means it didn't worked either. it remains waiting because is also not compatible

AMD has very limited support for chrome os. Just stoney ridge, bristol ridge and Ryzen 3 rd gen or higher

@@TheArtmann From what I've watched, I'll go back to Windows 7 or XP, my intel atom is a 2010 model. I guess it was worth a try. Baytrail may have been an option, but I was unable to find a recovery iso.

I want to use Chrome os for an android app. I tried bliss os but that app doesn't open on rooted system. So I can't use it on bliss os. Help me out brother. I want to use that app on my laptop. Path doesn't matter(any android os/chrome os/ any other os which can run android app and which is not rooted), I just want to open that app(WEB SANKUL/GPSC ONLINE) on my laptop for study purpose.

You can't dual boot Chrome OS on Legacy BIOS. So the only option is to make a bootable USB or, if you have 2 HDD/SSD to install chrome os on one and windows on the other

You CPU is low voltage (the letter U from the name stands for low voltage CPU) and u can't install chrome os on it. U can just run it from USB

You have a low voltage CPU. The letter "U" from the name stands for low voltage CPU and usually they are not compatible with Chrome OS. I'm surprised that u managed to install it though. Most probably that's the cause of those errors
