Yeah for low voltage wire you could have used Cat5e. It's inexpensive, and for short runs, you have up to eight leads in one wire, or if you're going to do long run, wrap each twisted pair together as one wire. each twisted pair could be considered one wire, and that gives you four decent size leads in one piece of cat5e. Each color gives you two leads twisted together. You get four twisted pairs in one Cat5e wire. It's like this: 1. blue and blue/white 2. Green and Green/white 3. Orange and orange/white 4. Brown and Brown/White Each color is a twisted pair.
