Hello friend, I am installing that guide on a lexus rc 350 and I would like to know where to connect the 12v cables so that it stays constant since I have not found where to connect them! Can you help me?
It still works! No sensors in the steering wheel for it. It is done by the camera in your windshield by your mirror. The steering wheel keeps all OEM components anyways. 🙂
This video was very helpful. The only thing I would add is that after the install and upon reconnecting the battery, when I first started the car it immediately shut off and gave me a message that there was a problem with the steering wheel. On the second attempt to start the car everything reset and seemed fine. Don’t know if anyone else experienced this?
Thank you! I’m glad 🙂. And that’s interesting.. I have never experienced this. It may just be a fault due to having the battery off for a while. I’m glad it went away upon second start though!
Hmm, I’d try taking the negative terminal off of the battery for 10+ minutes. That’ll reset any lights/ error codes. Then reconnect it and see if it fixed it.
I don’t. There are some videos out there about installing aftermarket wheels. This one is that same. The only difference is that you need to connect the wheel to a 12v source that turns on and off with the car. 🙂
