Can't open the Homebrew Launcher to restore your DS Download Play? Don't worry! Just skip this step and then try again after you have finished the tutorial. Remember, Sub Wars may stop working after custom firmware has been installed.

Le Piotrek Kwiecień It’s perfectly fine. All that 11.9 did was allow the 3DS internet browser to support a more updated encryption service (TLS 2.0) for websites online. Any exploits that worked on 11.8 should still work on 11.9
yay! success:) i followed every step on version 11.9.0-42E and it worked… there was only one thing, my frogtool stopped working on the final step where you have to press clean, i just continued with part 2 and cleaned it after the homebrew icon was installed on my main screen thanks a lot jack!
I can now confirm that it works with homebrew 11.10 version. For people having problems with frogminer on the last cleanup step, just continue to the 2nd part and do the cleanup after you are done with the whole tutorial. Thanks a lot jack!❤️
Jack, you are a Legend. I can CONFIRM this actually works on 11.10 version. First, install Homebrew from the 11.10 video using subwar. Then follow this video exactly. However, at the last stage, the cleanup step, step 4 did not work. Homebrew wouldn't load or it was just blank screen so following 'Mr Thanos' tip below, ignore last step and proceed to 'How to Install Custom Firmware on Your Nintendo 3DS' video. Follow it exactly. I almost gave up after Download Play step, make sure you hold button 'L and DOWN and SELECT' then complete Part 2 step. OMG, I was so happy, It freaking worked. Once You have completed Part 2, then go back to Hombrew, Frogtool and complete last step, "RESTORE AND CLEAN". I can happily confirm, this works on FW 11.10. People, once I again, I can confirm this works on 11.10. Make sure you follow Jack exactly and follow the steps. However as 'Mr Thanos' confirmed, ignore the 4th step, restore as it won't work until you complete Part 2.
When i wa going to clean up, the sub wars (homebrew) apears ARM11 error. I copied the Step 2 files and the error continued. When I hold button 'L and DOWN and SELECT' appears a lot of options. What have you pressed in this menu? thanks

I can confirm this works on the recent update [11.10-43U] I was scared it would brick my 2DS [Brick means to never work again] but the tutorial worked flawless. (:

did u homebrew ur 2DS? if yes, how did u do it? i was following the homebrew tutorial, but got stuck on choosing the firm for the "other app" so what firm did u choose?
@@Zer0GravityD1 Yes i homebrewed my 2DS. I chose OLD 11.0.0-10 because at the time i had the 11.10 firm. if you have any other firm like 11.8 or 11.9 then choose it. btw select new if you have an xl :)

YOUR KIRBY BACKGROUND IS AMAZING HOLY SHIT I WANT THAT. I wasn't really gonna mod my 3DS. I was fine with it as a Kirby game machine cause I love Kirby. I mostly use my CFW on PSP, PSVITA, Wii, and WiiU so didn't bother modding ANOTHER console... but this video is so tempting when I see more cool backgrounds like this lol.
Lots of people have already said it, but this tutorial DOES work on 11.9. I did it on 11.9.0-42U, and it worked perfectly. Just make sure to follow the guide carefully, as any mistakes could severely damage your 3ds.
@@SmashtoonGamer Were there any steps you had to do different? I saw some people said they couldn't do the "clean ds download play" step. My SD card is only 4 g so I'm getting a 32 g tonight. Is it safe to switcch SD cards? I think all I have to do is format the card somehow and then copy all my 3ds files over to the new one. Right?? 😂😂😂
@@nifflinNiffler Transferring your files is risky, because you may lose game data, but I'm no expert. Still, I wouldn't do it just because of the risk.

When i restore ds download play and go into it it says "A error has occurred. Press and hold the POWER Button to turn the system off. Please refer to the Operations Manual for details." Help!!!!!
If you have problems with the DSIHaxInjector part it's because it takes a while, there's a lot of people trying to do this at this moment, the best thing you can do is to wait some hours and stop trying with different usernames because by doing this you're making it slower for everyone else...

You have to go into the Download Play app and then press Nintendo DS in which the same Japanese version of Flipnote Studio appears. Repeat the same steps that Jack Sorrell put in the video about pressing a bunch of stuff and then copy-pasting a picture and then another screen appears to which you'll want to install the Luma3ds thingy. IF it then gives you that long menu of things that appeared afterward, go down to the longest option about a NAND thingy and select it with the "A" button and press Start to return to the home menu. Go back to the game and then it should give you a menu with a frog. Go down to the fourth option to restore DS download play and shut down the console and turn it on. Everything should be back to normal and you can now proceed where you left off. I know my explanation is long but I had the exact same problem and asking on forums didn't help since the people there didn't understand what I was talking about and I barely found out about this fix myself completely by accident.
Help, at around 9:32 after I checked the settings. I got to the homebrew, and it wont work anymore. It says "an exception occured" with a bunch of numbers and letters and then at the bottom it says Press A to save the crash dump. And. Press any other button to shutdown. HELP!
I don't want to be a nitpicker but when doing videos, if you have a script, would you mind uploading it or subtitling your videos? I have tried installing CFW on my 3DS with this tutorial a couple of months ago, and the actual installation of Luma3DS worked. But I was very stupid and (I don't fuckin' know how) lost the clean DS Download Play file. Is there any way to rebuild the clean DS Download Play, so that I can restore it with Frogtool?
I tried it on 11.9.0.42E but it always says A9HL dectected. After that I try to install B9S over the method it shows my with the link but I got nothing to work :/
how do you access the homebrew launcher after installing CFW (as subwars is basically broken afterwards)? do you have to go into flipnote studio via ds download play?
@Krazy Newb missed your comment but yeah after I realized I installed cfw I installed fbi and then the homebrew launcher, then did the godmode9 steps for sysnand.
Okey i did it and well i just wrnt to the website they did the tutorial from. Searched where i left off and finished it there tbh i will always follow the original website from now on. It's rlly clear what you have to do and you dont always have to pause the vid

Hi! I really hope you still reply to comments :,) but I have a 3ds in 11.13 version, and at 7:58 I do not have a emoticon showing up and it has the many 9s above it at top screen, but the very top it says 0. How do I get the emoticon to show up? Did I goof something up?
