How to install Custom Songs for Rocksmith 2014 

the reason you need cherub rocks, is because when the game was released, that song came free with the game originally, because of that, its a song that ALOT of people have. When you created custom songs for Rocksmith, you need to give it a song id, and since a lot of people have the Cherub Rocks song, they use that ID for custom songs. You are required to have it in your "inventory" otherwise the custom songs will not work. Long explanation very short on why you need that particular song

I had some struggles around to make it work, but let me tell you this method still works. March 2020. For many that feel like you can't find a solution, I was also in the same position and I tried different methods, but this one worked for me. 1 - uninstall Rocksmith Remastered 2014; 2 - Clean all cache from windows; 3 - Delete Rocksmith Folder from steamapps; 4 - Restart your PC; 5 - Reinstall Rocksmith Remastered 2014; 6 - Open Rocksmith and Find Cherub Rock song and play it a bit and then quit; 7 - Follow the video and bam Custom Songs everywhere. Enjoy

Hey guys I had this thing where I didnt see any of the songs in "Lean a song" and freaked out a bit but then I saw them in Guitarcade-Score Attack and then they added to the "Lean a song" too. Thought I should share ;) BTW Still works 04/20

7/17/2019 yep it still works at first i didn't buy the song and when i downloaded the cdlc ones it didn't show . so i bought the song in-game and all the cldcs popped so yeah buy CHERUB ROCK

Tutorial works great! Sadly though it seems Forge has removed the Dynamic Difficulty indicator 11/2020. Not unless I'm missing a setting.

The custom song worked bit I was wondering how you have a search bar for the song as I can only sort by title, artist etc.

My rocksmith doesnt open anymore when I have the dll file on the folder... Does it have to be an original copy of the game?

is there any reason that you know of for customsforge not to show the songs with DD now? I can't find a single track on there that even has a space for a DD icon, nor does it show up in the song info.

Did you already have the songs from Game 1? some songs that I dusted from other dlc are blocked and those of the primiero neither appear

When I reinstalled rocksmith I didn't have the dll file and I dont know what to do. I did get CDLC's but I had to reset my pc and can't seem to get the CDLC's to work

The other songs you can use, that are not "Cherub rock" are "The lively ones - Surf rider" and "Queen - Don't stop me now"

Does anyone know how to fix the game not booting up after downloading the CDLC's?

You know when you reinstall rocksmith do you have to do the same procedure again??

Doesnt work for me. I did everything exactly. I think its more on steams end. I bought cherub rock clicked enable, it still doesnt show up as dlc.I rebooted, tried downloading it from in game store, it says I purchased it and its installed and still doesnt show up *edit* Make sure your songs are filtered to "all songs" when selecting songs. That fixed it

Guys i have followed everything, got the cherub rocks song ect, now no songs show any ideas?

I'm not sure if maybe I missed a step or not, but I get the songs but when I load it up it just shows the amps and my guitar sound but nothing else shows or audio from the song. I do have cherub rock and the dll patch. Any thoughts?

Aug 15 2020 still works :) but I had to buy the dlc first, which is 3 dollars but 1.6 dollars in my currency lol

Is there a limit to how many custom songs you can install?

Hi, i just locked in the customsforge site. How did you get the yellow voice icon, and what does it mean? Can you also choose to leave out the voice and sing yourself? For me every mic icon is greyed out here. Thanks

None of the DLC's come up and I have loads in that folder... Have I missed a step?

Did everything and got it all the way to when it ask to tune guitar, after that it doesn't load the song, not working. The song I purchases works but not the one from Forge page.
