I added a couple new games, using the other kind of forwarder app from within homebrew launcher. Then games started disappearing, I thought something was getting corrupted or games were using the same title IDs and overwriting (the games were romhacks so it seemed plausible)... TURNS OUT, there's a 40 DSiWare game limit. D;
@@Bryan-df7kc It would need edits to the firmware or something, and I don't think it has ever been done. You can just use TwilightMenu instead and have as many DS games as you want on your SD card, they just don't show up individually as tiles on the homescreen.
So how do you change the banners and the icons for the games? Because I randomized a Pokemon Black ROM and I'm going to add them to the sd card, but when I look at the icon for the randomized ROM, it looks all glitchy. EDIT: Nevermind, I fixed that problem, but how do I rename the game? I want the banner title to say it's randomized, like "Pokemon Black (Randomized)" for example.
I appreciate that you gave the needed info and that you don't waste a lot of time. But 1.) You went too fast to follow, so I had to keep rewinding and checking what the heck you did and clicked on, 2.) going so fast you also said some things wrong.
When i go to save the ds game forwarder pack.7x file to my computer it wont save as a file it wants to try to run it (windows) Edit: i had to download an application that lets you open 7x files
"for sd card root" huh? where did ypu get that? i can't lauch no game because it says there's a missing, or more missing folders, i followed every step correctly, but i don't know where to get "for sd card root" anywhere, any help here? please
@@Unfolowed If anyone is wondering how to make "Forwarder3DS.jar" to run, i did it by making bat file. So...i made run.bat file (just make txt file where Forwarder3DS.jar is and rename it to "run.bat" instead of "New Text Document.txt") and i right clicked on it, than "Edit" and once opened i wrote "java -jar Forwarder3DS.jar". Than i saved, exit, and double-clicked and it ran the forwarder (Forwarder3DS.jar)

nothing happens after installing the CIA for me :( help please? Also, the forwarder made two files for me - a CIA and a NDS file (both I moved to my sd cards cias folde)
Hey! Tried doing this... and well, everything went smoothly..except the game doesn't work for me. It says that an error has occurred every time I boot up the game. Any ideas on what could be the issue? Thanks in advanced! ^^
@@HardBoiledSalmon I don't think so? when I boot up the game, it says "An exception occurred Processor: Arm11 (core 0) Exception type: prefetch abort (svcBreak) Fault status: Debug event" and then some numbers and stuff..
when i tried to open it said "nds ntr forwarder sdcard.nds not found please get this file from the sd forwarder pack, in for sd card root nds ntr forwarder" how do i fix this
when you converted your roms, you should find a hidden folder named ".forwarders". Inside, you´ll find, what you need. Just create the mentioned Folders with the File in it on your root SD Card :-)
For some reason mine isnt opening in java am I doing something wrong? Edit: it worked but now im getting an error that says .nds file is missing even though I did the exact same steps in this video Edit 2: never mind got it to work
i had the same issue. on your sd card (plugged into your pc) you should have a folder called roms. in that folder there's subfolders for all the consoles. you want to put your rom into the nds folder inside of the rom folder. and then inside of the forwarder.jar, add your rom from the sd card. that worked for me, let me know if that made sense
The forwarder thingy doesn't launch, now I've got just a bunch of useless stuff sitting on my card. Never mind, Java wasn't actually installed properly.
i have done everything correctly, but when i try and select the 3ds sd card for the target of where to forward the files too, it just leaves the space blank and i cannot choose an option of where to forward the files too. What am i doing wrong?
so i tried doing this and i got as far as getting the forwarder but it won’t stay open no matter what i do (opens for like 2 seconds then closes) :(( anyone who can help i would greatly appreciate it
Make sure "Automatically set ROM path" is enabled, and that the ROM was dragged from the SD card, and not from the PC, into Fowarder3-DS while making your forwarder(s). - from the website
I just get an error message saying "unable to mount CTRNAND or load the CTRNAND FIRM Please use an external one." whenever I open the game I just downloaded
Okay so I bought a 3DS from a seller that was already programmed with all this but all of a sudden I’m popping up a message saying “start failed error 1 /nds/ntr-forwarder/sd card.nds not found” any ideas how to fix this I have no idea what I’m doing
It's just a preference. Some people want the DS game icon on their home screen and to automatically open it upon pressing it and don't want to go through menus to open up their games.
@@carrot_coc7791 Yes, install both twilight and forwarder, open twilight and if it boots up or works, The forwarder will also work without opening twilight
