A great little guide. I just finished swapping mine, and bloody hell what a difference do these indicators make. It feels like a must for every A3 owner.
An easier way to do this. Start by taking off the white cover which just comes off if you carefully squeeze and pull back then up. This exposes the mirror clips inside the housing so you can then gently push the mirror out without potentially damaging by pulling with a tool, then carry on as the boys have shown. Indicators are way better than OEM.
