2 months later as a fyi for anyone doing this for a server, this only affects new bases, I also downloaded base x2, basically a mod that increases the range pals will do construction, but it only works for BRAND NEW BASES. Meaning you’ll have to removed the pal box and place it again for it to affect your current base
Usually this should work for existing bases. Unless the mod creator changed something since this video. But it should work for bases that are already set
Been watching your videos on modding. I added some mods to my gameplay. Wondering if you ran into this problem? I'm unable to create the new plasteel items. The plasteel doesn't show up the Electric Furnace. Same with the armor and weapons. I unlocked them through the technology tab. I can build the improve generator and oil pump.
@@TheChrissyPanda i think i got a fix, go into pal > binaries > win64 > UE4SS-settings.ini > edit and look for the lines bUseUObjectArrayCache then change = false to true, save and then exit. That fixed it for me. Hope this helps!
@@jazzyboooit would randomly just crash with the error code. I found another video on how to change something from true to false and the issue has improved a lot
I installed the mod. The blue line did indeed get bigger. When I scroll through things I can build, I can see all the materials available in the base. BUT, whenever I try to build anything beyond what's normal base size, I get a message saying "insufficient materials." With structures that I am able to build beyond the standard base size, pals don't seem to be able to interact. An example of that is pal beds built far away. Up in the right corner where "base info" is, it says "pals without beds will get stressed," even though I have enough beds. Note that I am on an online server. Maybe this is for single-player only?
Watched your video again. I see you're getting the same "pal bed" message as I am at 6:55 . Also, wild pals don't usually cross the borders of the base, which they're clearly doing here. So, in summary, this mod makes the blue line larger, but the actual base range stays the same.
Yes this mod only works for single player, but on multiplayer server it’ll appear to look like it’s works to you but to other players it’s just a normal circle lol.
You're right, it works in single player. I tried. Any idea on how I can make it work on an online server? I am renting one, so I am the admin. I tried pasting the files into the server's game folder as I would locally, but it didn't work.@@SIMPLYAMAZINGYT
Thanks for the vid. Does this work on game pass version? or just steam? Tried it on game pass, but doesn't seem to work. Wasn't sure if I'm doing something wrong or wasting time trying to get it to work
