Nice overview. I slice the insulation when wires are in the way so the insulation is not compressed. I also wear long sleeves, as you did, to keep the 'itchy' fiberglass off my skin as much as possible. I also wash the clothes I wore and shower immediately after I am finished.

I've just put the insulation in the hole, no measuring, cut it with a razor blade at the fire break and move on. The tabs you stapled go inside the 2x and stapled. But it's all good. Someone will get some info from the video. When I was younger, I went to school for carpentry, was the way I learned. Catch ya later for the cars and coffee

I don't think you can even buy the paper backed insulation here in Canada anymore. I only see it on tear outs when I do a reno. Here the norm is fiberglass pink or Roxul and code says you have to put a sealed vapor barrier over it. Or you can step it up and get the closed cell spray foam. That is what I did in my house as well as my son's and love it but it is not cheap. Barry do you have any concerns with the thickness of your plywood for mounting things or are you just going to aim for studs?
