Removed a section in my camper where the entertainment area is and installed. Works great. Instead of propane furnace heat, I can use this ru-vid.comUgkxATHBlMJwipGgVWseuAFKvDQ_5R4_lywo to heat the camper as long as it's hooked up to shore power. Only thing I do not like is there does not seem to be a thermostat. I'm presuming it has a built-in one so it does not overheat. Really like all the other color options it has to offer.

The manual has grammatical errors and sentences and paragraphs that make no literal sense or are contradictory. Its horrible. It reads as if the writer is ESL but the company is from Illinois!

I will be installing mine against a stacked stone fireplace which is a very uneven surface, even moreso than the brick in your example. Will I need to use fire rated caulk to seal between the doors and the stones?

Very good! This was very helpful. I struggled with some of the most basic issues, like putting the brackets together. I'm sure the bracket assembly is different with each manufacturer. Otherwise, thanks.

Noticed gapping along the indents of the brick mortar. Does additional insulation/anything need to be added to fill those gaps?

Hey Jim, what options do we have if the piece above the fireplace which the mounting bracket is too long? It seems impossible to install for us but I was curious if you had any workarounds. Great video!

The alternative mounting method should work. Basically you just use a bit to drill through the metal as in the manual. Then you screw it directly in

I have the same question about the insulation, is it safe to burn with that exposed to the inside of the fireplace?

it will not burn. It is fire proof and made to be close to the fire.

Hello! Does the insulation have to be covered at all? Wouldn’t it catch fire if you used the fireplace?

I don't think so because it will not fit the opening. most of the time you can read the description of the door to see what is the minimum size and the maximum size.

Thank you for the video . My glass door broke so I bought a new used one . I loss my husband last year to pancreatic cancer so I have to do this myself . I’ve never put one in before and I’m worried about the instillation on the inside . Won’t the installation catch on fire inside ? Might be a stupid question but just worried

Good question. The insulation that comes with the doors is fire proof.

@@getitdonehomerepair I will definitely do that I’m just so glad for your video if I did not see it I would have never known about the installation . I have another question don’t mean to sound stupid but just wondering what the instillation does exactly ? My guess is to keep the fumes from of the fire from in the house breathing it ? Again sorry don’t mean to ask questions but just want to be educated on it . I loss my husband of 32 years last year to stage four pancreatic cancer and the last few years of his life he could not do anything he was always the one who fixed things around our home . I’ve never put doors on a fire place so I really need to be educated on it before I start the job . Would have been way easier if I bought new doors I k ow this because I’m not even sure the brackets on our old doors will fit the new used one but I can’t afford them with the mortage and other bills . This is so hard for me to do and want to just make sure I do it right and it’s safe ! Thanks again

I like your vid. But i cant see exactly what youre doing. Yes, i will go to the instruction manual and definitely another vid. Thx for the eagle eyes installation how to. From up here, it looks like the brackets magically went on the glass door frame.
