Those caliper bracket bolts are torx bolts be careful with that 12 point you might strip them if the ever get stuck In there due to rust! But great video with lots of good info!
@Robert Gonzalez an e torx socket, if your in the United States you should be able to find them at Harbour freight or any other major tool retailer. In canada canadian tire has them as well as princess auto!
That’s good to know u don’t have to swap hubs to run brembos I buying a set now only didn’t cause I thought it was like rt charger or challenger and has whole different hub from the srt stuff super happy I looked this up
Great video it seems the v6 and Rt Durango share the same braking system which is great!!! My 392 Daytona had 6 piston been is as well and the are awesome. I’m gonna look into doing this mod on my AWD limited Durango!!!
@@ZacWade your a legend for posting this video, all the peopel in forums seem confused yet you on the other hand you took matters in your hands and simply could've said "would you look at that" 😅 Appreciated it🤜🏿🤛🏿
Great video. Did you have to get a specific rotor for the calipers? If so, how would you know what to look for? Appreciate the help as it too am looking to do this to my 21 rt Durango
Thanks for the response. That’s exactly what I had to do plus 1.5” spacers. The brakes and rotors are on now and look great! I’ll eventually get SRT rims so I don’t have to use spacers. I like the look over other rims out there.
I’m about to do this upgrade but I’m concerned there won’t be enough clearance with the stock r/t rims, you didn’t seem to have that issue but or rims are different.
What is the reason for purchasing the Titan 1" Hubcentric Wheel Spacers? I don't see them referenced anywhere in either the front or rear video. I've got a 2015 R/T Durango with 20" factory rims (265/50R20). Will the parts you listed fit my year, and are the wheel spacers required. (Great videos BTW!. Thanks!)
hello, informative vid. Question, In the parts ordering info, I dont see the slotted rotors ? Were they from rock auto as well ? can you proviode info if possible. thanks in advance.
@@ZacWade oh thank you i clicked the link and it seemed to just be one right caliper from rockauto for around 338. A piece . Did not realize disc is included. Thanks.
Hey.. good afternoon brother.. I have a question.. I have a Dodge durango R/T Hemi 2021 I want to put the same rear brakes on it.. that you used for your Durango.. Do you think they can be put on...? My durango isn't AWD it's 2WD
@@el-nahasmohamed8212 I was wondering the same thing for my 2021 R/T AWD. But I came across different part numbers for the front calipers. Front left: 68507581AA Front right: 68507582AA Can anyone confirm these are the brembo calipers from the SRT ?
Great insight doesn’t the Hemi Durango and gt models share the same oem brake calipers lines etc? I’d do I’m gonna put a set of bremnos on my AWD limited since my 392 Daytona has these 6 pistons and they are awesome
So I have the RT 2021 Durango I wanna install the Brembos to on my truck. I was really hoping they r a direct fit 👍🏻👍🏻 what about the brake line ? Can the old one be used or should I use steel brake lines
Are those the stock 20x8-inch wheels for the R/T? I was led to believe that those wheels don't have enough clearance for the Brembo calipers. Did you have to use offset spacers?
@@ZacWade A full inch!!!????!!! Wow!! That's gonna mess with the scrub angle. Have you noticed any odd wear on the tires? Can you feel any trembling in the steering wheel when you brake or hit a bump or pothole? Please don't interpret my reaction as criticism. I'm just shocked.
Hello mate hope ur still replying to questions? I have a 2012 Dodge Journey 3.6vvt would these brakes be suitable for my car? Thanks in advance 👍🏻🇦🇺 cool vid too mate👏🏻cheers
Hey Zac awesome job, what size rotors where u able to fit. The srt has 380mm front and 350mm in rear. While the Rt came with 350mm front and 330mm in the rear.
I have a 2016 DD R/T with tow n go 20x10 wheels I had put(no lift); so, I lowered the tire size to 275 45r20 A/T for now because I'm not sure about 285/50r20. My abs is trying to adjust to it, so I'm considering adding that big brake set to see if it handles the wheel mod better. Do they have to update the ABS system to accommodate it?
Does the pins and the rattle clip come with the Caliper 68146610AA . The blow up illustration shows non Brembo brakes. Just wanted to make sure I did not have to buy any other parts.
I see you have a 1" hubcentric wheel spacers on the list but I do not see that in the installation. Are these required...1in spacers is seriously wide.
@@ZacWade Okay gotcha ...I have 22 x10 Hellcats...Any Idea if these will fit without spacers? Thanks very much....Great video...Did not know the swap was this easy
