What do you do to protect the tapcon holes when you take the braces down. I put mine up for Ian too but i guess you can just blow them out the next time
Great video. I plan on building this with some modifications. 1. Use drop in concrete anchors so it can be easily re-installed 2. Simpson Strong-Tie Galvanized Rigid Tie Connector to mate the base and vertical 2x4, again - probably drill out to accept lag bolts for easy disassemble and re-install vs screws 3. U Bolts to anchor 2x4 to garage door vs brackets, allows for closer adjustments
Great approach since for whatever reason it’s been impossible to find the aluminum kits made especially for this purpose. Unfortunately the latch on my door extends from the hinge area all the way to the side via a long lock bar which makes it impossible to lay the 2x4 flat against the hinge on that side (the latch mechanism protrudes) 😢
I think they forgot that most people store their cars in their garage during the storm. Theres no room for me or the wood behind my car to install that. My garage has survived irma so I think I'm gucci.
Vampires are Arithmamaniacal ( remember the count on Sesame Street ) if you spread rice or better yet sand outside your doors they will need to count each grain before asking permission ( why would you give it ? ?? ) to enter . Ware wolves are allergic to onions and chocolate ( leave out a bloomin’ onion and a box of cup cakes ) a hungry werewolf will forget this before grabbing the tasty snack .... which should at least slow them down a bit 🥴🤢🤮
