I can't answer that question honestly. I have never installed one in a 71 cutlass and there are a lot of variables to take into consideration, are you using Holley motor and trans mounts with cross member?? Best thing is to do a bunch of measuring like how far back and how high the engine is going to sit! Thx J
Was looking at ur race mid mount setup.Is there .250 on the water pump mounting point so i can mill it down to fit on motor plate? Do u see and problems milling it down?Thanks
Robert, It is going to depend on your motor plate. the mounting points for the pump have enough material to remove .250" but it will cause interference with the back of the pump on the passenger side near the heater hose outlets. If you can notch a small section of your front plate in a half moon shape, then there should be enough clearance for the plate. Thx J
