While Honda’s hand guards look nice they are pretty flimsy for the money. I bought the JFG Hand guards from Amazon. Give good protection and are structurally sound with two points of contact to the handle bars protecting levers and your hands. Well made and worth the money at $35.
I guess my dealer put the mirror on wrong on the clutch side. It’s spaced away from the end and forces me to put my hand guard on that side on the angled piece of handle bars it’s all off. Tried to loosen the screw for the mirror and it’s like they welded it on. Stripped it after using three different screw drivers and a drill with a Phillips that fit snuggly. Blah 😢
Wow, sounds like fun. Japanese bikes use JIS screws. They look like Phillipsheads but they are not. Next time use an impact screwdriver with JIS ends. Thanks for the heads up!
