How to install IKEA AURDAL system / Closet 

Love the soothing music, and I can’t wait to do this. So many DIY folks talk WAY too much for my liking. Your tutorial is straight to the point!

This didn’t tell me what I needed but… apparently the mount doesn’t come with screws. I spent ages looking through all the boxes trying to find them.

Omg thanks 🙏 it will help been sitting in spot for over 2 months the task rabbit i ordered 3 times somehow did not get through. Dont you wish we could use the whole soace by using a hack saw to cut those tiny walls on side and the top to get a real closet space easy to reach in ??? I sure dream of it , its happening here lol 😂

Did you screw the back rod into the wall at both ends? Or did you do it a few holes inward? I am working on this now and noticed a lot of difficulty with matching up to studs.

Excellent video, thank you! I can only catch three studs for one suspension rail (I would use #8 2.5 or 3" wood screws) but Ikea recommends inserting four screws . Would you recommend that I use a toggle anchor bolt, into the drywall, for a fourth and maybe fifth hole, for balance, or is it unnecessary? Thank you so much!

Where did you find the bracket that fixes the shelf onto the wall? I was looking for something like that but didn't have an Ikea part that does that.

Does the suspension rail come with screws or did you have to get them separately ?

Did the brackets on the lower part that secure it to the wall come with yours? We can’t find that with ours

Are the metal poles on the bottom required? Can it be installed without those feet so the bottom shelf touches the floor?

Can I have details of the screws you used on the suspension rail? I'm not sure which kind to buy.

Can we install this system as floating off the ground shelf without the legs ?

I'm installing mine, when installing the clothing rails going from the unit to the drywall would you recommend using plastic anchors?

Do you have metal studs?? If so, what screws did you use

Are these wooden panels soft edge or straight edge. Soft edge are good quality. Does Ikea sell soft edge white panels?

Is this pretty sturdy? We bought one for my sons room. It looks like it’s just suspended there with shelving in between. I probably missing something. Great video by the way

The closet looks great. Do you remember how much you spent on your entire closet system ?

Question can you use it without the legs?

My recommendation is to pre-drill the holes into the studs and don't use a box cutter on those boxes, you could damage the material (ask me how I know)
