I will show you how I installed ikea MITTLED lights inside wall cabinets, under wall cabinets and inside base cabinets. Thank you for watching. Enjoy! Like and Subscribe :)
You did such a great job with this video and I'm so appreciative of you sharing your expertise. We are in the middle of a kitchen install that we are trying to do ourselves bc there aren't any installers in our area. We just have the frames up and we think this is probably the best time to install the lighting. I wanted to avoid using the outlet under the cabinets as you did in this video, per the customer, but I'm wondering where you would recommend that we have an outlet installed that wouldn't be seen. Above the cabinets or behind them? Our cabinets go to the ceiling with about a 3" gap. We will be putting in a trim piece to hide the gap. Do you have any video showing a receptacle inside the cabinet and how that was done? Again, thanks!! This is so incredibly helpful!!!
Hello! I would make myself a socket above the cabinets or put an light bulb power supply on the top of the cabinet and the wire stretched the bi behind the drywall and connected to the inside of the socket and used a portable switch, as in this video: at 5:03 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cyTjumjgIMU.html
I got some great tips from this video on how to route the power cables for the lighting. It's a shame the power cables are just plugged into outlets sitting under the cabinets however. We will be having our contractor put switched power outlets above the cabinets so we don't see them
In this case it was put into the plug, in other cases electrics do all kids of things to make it seamless :) again, all about how the customer wants to do it :)
I've been wondering if I could avoid the remote control by installing the motion sensor LED strips to the hinged cabinets too (instead of the spotlights)
Great video, I was just wondering where is the best location to install the electrical receptacle in the back of the lower drawers so it does not interfere with the drawers?
Hi there! We are looking to install these exact lights in our kitchen. We have one stand alone 24" cabinet, then the range hood, then a 24" cabinet and another 15" cabinet. We also want a puck light in the 15" cabinet. How many drivers, connection cords and power supply cords do we need? Also, for the driver - should we use 10w or 30w? Thanks again for such an informative video, it's super helpful 😊
The drawer lights are actually a proximity sensor rather than a motion sensor. When the drawer is closed, the drawer front is up against the proximity switch which turns the light off. The pot lights and under cabinet lights can be switched and dimmed using the Tradfri wireless dimmer switch.
Hi, If i have 2 led lights connected to the wireless driver, would I be able to switch them off separately, or the wireless control switches off everything together that is connected to the driver?
You turn on the lights once, and then you use a controller. Here you can watch me do it in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cyTjumjgIMU.html start at 3:20
@@maxplus2849 I see. I would only like undercabinet lighting not inside cabinet lighting. So I would just attach the lights underneath and the cable feed into the cabinet to the PowerPoint yes? Thanks
Beautiful execution by a highly skilled and well equipped worker. My only criticism is the casual use of the knife. Often when it was completely unnecessary. If craft teaching is your aim then I suggest you avoid the knife altogether. Unless it is absolutely required. Or, provide clear instructions on first aid. For dressing deep cuts and tips on reaching the emergency services for stitches.
Impressive...but you unplug the electricity connection to open and close the lights 😂 It costed hundreds just in lighting and its not connected to a wall interruptors
@@maxplus2849 I haven't any ... just to mark the part of the video I am interested in watching the most ... thank you for this guide I watched it many times and it was very helpful
When you open the back compartment of the remote control - you will see a small button. You take the remote controller and hold it next to the power unit and press that button in the back compartment and hold it for 10 seconds, the light should start blinking and that should set it up to work.
I am watching this thinking this guy does everything the opposite of how I would do it, down to taking measurements and peeling the adhesive strips off. The guy is left handed. Guess who is a righty?
Шикарное освещение, но включения ,на проводе, надо переделать ,ближе к вилке, к розетки!! Это не куда не годно!! Запрыгивать на шкаф чтоб включить.....!!¡
thats totally wrong... you must do it like i did. 1. dont look at the instructions 2. hang the cabinets on the wall 3. hang the cabinets the right way 4. look at the instructions for the light systems 5. debate with yourself if it is really worth it to take down the cabinets or if its ok to install it sloppy while hanging 6. watch this video 7. man i dont want to... 8. did it the right way 👍 thanks for the video
Єдине нормальне в цьому це нижні тумби. Решта фігня повна. У верхніх тумбах світло буде світити постійно. Поки хтось не залізе на тумбу і не виключить його, це не зручно.
I just didn't show it in this video but the owner uses a portable switch. Like in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cyTjumjgIMU.html at 5:03
