I like the mod Mike, but I think I'd personally prefer that those lights to come on when the doors open and turn off when the doors close, and not stay on all the time, which would seem a little annoying. But the video is informative...thanks for posting!
Nice touch. When l first watched thd video l thought l would not have mine in my Solstice to only come on when the 2 interior lights in the mirror came on. I think your idea is better. Thanks for showing us this. You inspire us to attempt are own mods. Have a great day
Nice Video, thanks for the info for the 19 fuse! - One question, which radio/stereo do you recommend? I saw a lot of Kappa owners installs Pioneer, but which model is the one to go? - I have no need for FM or DAB radio, nor to watch DVDs etc. just a 8band min. eq, 4x100W which fits for the stock monsoon/infinity system. What kind of adapters/cables will I need?
I ordered everything from Crutchfield. The double din plate isn't piano black either. It's just a regular black. I'm sure you could paint it a gloss black, though.
Hi Mike, I'd like to do this to my Solstice. Is the fuse tap rated for 10a and limited by the fuse too. Did you say this was a double so a separate fuse for each circuit or does a single with one fuse protect both the wheel and the lights? Thanks
Mike Martin thanks Mike. I kept pausing your video to try and see the part number on the fuse tap. I did order one from amazon but I think it might have a fuse for the new circuit and one for the existing original one. Might try this on. The weekend. Thanks for the vids! They're well done.
Paul Muldoon I don't see any reason why the fuse tap you purchased wouldn't work. Good luck with the installation and show me some photos when you're done.
