This tutorial going to show you how to install iOS 16 without a computer. This iPhone guide will show you how to update iPhone to iOS 16, troubleshoot, some of the main update issues all on WIFI. I will also explain how to update iPod touch to iOS 16 but keep in mind that older phones iPhones like the iPhone 6s and iPhone 7 don’t support Apples latest iOS software. The link below will show you which iPhones can update to iOS 16 and which ones can’t. If you have a home button device like an iPhone 8 this video will also show you how to update iPhone SE 2020 & 2022 (2nd generation and 3rd) to iOS 16. iPhone 8 is the oldest devices supporting this software update. So if you are asking “Can iPhone 6s update to iOS 16”, unfortunately support is not available for the 6s Plus. You will need to have your smartphone charged to at least 50% battery or plug to a charger, you want to have fast consistent internet and ensure you backup the device before you run the installation.

Hey DHTV. You said in the video about battery percentage that you need to get the full version and not the beta version of the iOS 16. For some reason the percentage is not a option for me ( even tho I did update it to iOS 16) so that makes me think I have the beta. So how do I get the full version?

Yeah at the time of filming it wasn’t known that Apple excluded it from some iPhone models. However, since then Apple said that it will be releasing it for more newer iPhones, I believe 11 on with the iOS 6.1 update.

Did you install a beta ever? If so you may need to remove the profile of it. Also try logging out of iCloud and log back in then restart

It’s just to allow users to stay on iOS 15 with security and bug fixes. It’s up to you to stay on iOS 15 or update to iOS 16. You don’t have to update iOS 15.7 before as far as I read.

Is it safe to download and install it directly from the phone or is it safer thru iTunes on PC? Because that is how I always update my iOS. Yeah that would be the way, not sure why nothing popped up. Unless you updated a beta in the past? You might have to remove the beta first.

Are you checking your iPhone storage or iCloud. Make sure the iPhone has enough storage. Try restarting the iPhone as well.

Could be a glitch. Try restarting the iPhone and see if that helps. Try logging out of iCloud then log back in and see if that helps. Try to free up the extra space and see if that works. If all fails I’d say backup your device and restore using the backup.

Check to see if you ever installed a beta profile. You might have to delete it first. Also try restarting the iPhone or logging out and back in to iCloud.

It usually lets you know or prevents you if you are too low but it’s best to have the charger on hand just in case. I believe below 50% battery requires a charger.

It’s probably a bad connection to your internet, you can try restarting the phone, and resetting the network settings. If you do reset the settings you will have to enter all the passwords again to all wifi networks

Hey! This was helpful but I’m on an iPhone 7 and I just got this phone. It isn’t showing up but people say “Go to the VPNS and Device Management.” I went there and I had nothing there. Ok just confirmed, Apple doesn’t support updates for the iPhone 7 or 7 Plus anymore. Unfortunately you are at the latest software you can get with it.

So, the battery percentage seems to be limited to only some iPhones. If you don't have the option then you probably have an iPhone that doesn't support it.

Try restarting the iPhone and if that fails you can reset network settings in the settings app. You would then need to enter your wifi password again.

No it shouldn't unless something goes wrong. That is why I always recommend backing up all of your information and data before you update.

Can someone pls help? I use iPhone X and I am on iOS 15.6.1. I haven’t installed any beta versions and I am not able to update to iOS 16. I barely even used 30 percent of the storage in my phone

That’s odd, I would still check the vpn and device settings to see if you have to remove a profile first. Also try restarting the iPhone and logging out and back into iCloud.

It is still not working. I did not even get an update to iOS 15.7. Should I go and get my phone checked up at an apple service centre?

I’m on iOS 16.0.2 but I’m not able to use the features for this new update. I’m above 50 percent and I have enough storage and I have an iPhone 11 and I still don’t know why I’m not able to use the new features

You can use new features unless it’s the battery percentage one which is only for pro model iPhones right now. What features are you missing?
