How to Install JBL Speakers on Subaru Crosstrek 

Went with these same speakers on the crosstrek. They sounded good. I already had good low end with an alpine type r. I eventually put in an alpine amp for the jbl door speakers. Even though they are 2.3 ohm impendance, they sound much better with an amp. About 90watts rms in the front and the gain on the rears is turned back a little more because they can only handle 60 watts rms, opposed to 100rms for the front speakers . Overall very clear, loud, good mid bass and good hi’s

I installed the factory upgrade Kicker speakers and I love them.

I just did this install in my '22 XV last week. So far, sounds good, but everyone says better after break-in. Will consider under-seat sub. after some time....Simple swap-out, good video.

I have a 2024 Crosstrek with the Hardon Kardon upgrade with 10 speakers. Sounds good but always up for making it sound better.

you could have cut the bracket to fit around the bolt, trim to fit...amps come in all flavors. even the low powered amps at 20-25Wrms/ch will sound better than the stock hu. ppl don't need to blast 75Wrms +/ch to get good sound. shoot, even the tiny UTV amps the size of a brick will out perform the stock hu and give you "more" sound. obviously matching the speaker to the amp (input power to the speaker) will result in the best overall sound. brand is up to you.

Sounds crisp! I just have one question: Does the car come with tweeters in the dash? If it does, you´ll have an excess of trebble (high frequencies).

Alpine is amazing on female voice😊 actually Japanese audio brand are kind of more female voice friendly.

Thanks for the video! Putting in some Infinity Reference speakers 6x9 for front, 6.5 in back, and 3.5 in dash which is part of the Harman brand like JBL. I just bought a 21 Crosstrek sport and the sound is crap. Worried about the fit of the 6x9 bracket. Did you get it from Crutchfield? What do you plan to do with the dash speakers?

You should have done a comparison

The speaker mount was upside down and flip the wrong way? This is why it wouldn't fit.

What model is the Crosstrek? Did you have the 3.5 inch speakers in the dash?

I want to do this on my Subaru and I could get most of the part numbers from the video. However, my question is where both wiring harness adapters the same? For the front as the back? Or where the front ones different from the back? I could only get 1 of the part numbers for 1 of the wiring harness, the other one I couldn’t see, any help is appreciated thank you

I like those. Its between these and some similar Kickers and maybe the Infinity ones. What are we doing about the little three inchers in the dash? Is there something weird with the crossover thing on the back of that dash speaker? Anything I should know? Other than the speaker is dogs**t? Cause I know that part. Also, I have this thing by Cerwin Vega - it sounds whack, but hear me out. JBL makes the exact same thing. It replaces the foam thing that sits in the spare tire. Its a powered 12 and there's no remote wire, no line out converter, no, rca, no harness cutting, no dash dickery. Its absolutely astounding in my Crosstrek with the factory radio. Big bumps (for it's class of thing) and a completely empty trunk. Just a though. They fit our cars perfectly and they're not much money and I couldn't be happier. Nearly as headache free as that speaker install. You'd mentioned a powered hideaway sub and this cannot be more hideaway. I dare say it beats every under seat sub I heard.

i have a 2003 bonneville SSEi as a summer only use car, i also have a crosstrek premium 6MT. my bonneville has a 5 channel soundstream brand amp, 4 kicker CS, 2 alpine 6x9", and a 10" skar sub. the stereo in my bonneville cranks, yeah i know it's aftermarket...... i live my crosstrek but i think the stereo sucks. i am wondering if i can ever do anything to make it better.

I would avoid Kicker and JBL. Alpine only the R or X serie.
