I watched your video first, then I watched 3 Other videos on how to install Lazy Susan hardware. Yours was definitely the easiest to understand and follow. Thank you for creating this video should be very simple for me now to install the six Lazy Susan’s that I have!

As I started to try to do this project, I decided to measure the distance from the center to the holes, and move the device if needed, to make sure it is centered. That may not be so important in terms of practical performance, but it might be a good idea.

I bot the component at Lowes and it is a 12” round one like you used. Thanks for the video and making this task easy. To say the least, the directions that came with mine were useless and also it didn't supply any screws either.

Wonderful! So that's how it works. Thanks a lot for the demo. I have to buy one and make some nice Xmas gifts with wood pieces. I want to make a Lagun table. Still have to figure out the glides. This thing needs some lubrication. A bit noisy.

I know the base is unseen, but why not just drill one access hole through the base and rotate the base to attach the hardware to the top?

Couldn't you just drill 1 "access hole" for the screws to the "top"/, and rotate it to install each of the the 4 screws? (just sayin...) ;)Just read some comments, it appears 1 out of every 4-5 people said the same thing....

Sure, that would work for folks who don't care about astetic balance but,,, me... I would have to have at least 4 or I wouldn't be able to sleep. 2 might keep me up late but I would eventually fall asleep. 1, no way pal, it looks like a mistake happened.

Thanks for the video. I used the turntable with the ball bearings (the one you have on your left). There are holes on one side, where it looks like screws could go if I remove the plastic hole plugs. Is this one way to do it? Do i remove all the white plastic cap bits on the side that I am screwing right against and flush to the wood tray?
@WoodcraftSupply
@WoodcraftSupply 2 года назад
According to their product description on our website "Non-marring feet on both sides protect delicate finishes and if you choose, one side is removable to expose countersunk screw holes to mount to a turntable of your construction." So I would not remove ALL of the plastic plugs. Just the one side where you will be attaching your wood.

@evanmclaughlin09
@evanmclaughlin09 Год назад
Terrible video. There is a lot you’re leaving out. Are you lining up the bottom plate and top plate over each other on the x’s you drew before you drill the holes? What side is top of the top plate and what side of bottom of the top plate. What side is top of bottom plate and what side is bottom of bottom plate? How is that oriented when you drill your holes? What size drillbit do you use to drill the holes into the bottom plate that you’ll use as a guide to fasten the fasteners through the bottom of the bottom plate into the bottom of the top plate? What size fasteners are you actually using? Do they come in the kid or do you need to bring your own?
@WoodcraftSupply
@WoodcraftSupply Год назад
I'm sorry you were not happy with this video. This is a video specifically about installing the hardware, not making a whole lazy susan. Hopefully in the future I will have time to show the whole process. A lot of the answers to your questions are going to completely depend on you and what your workpieces and design are. The "X"s are to find the center of each piece. If your hardware is centered on both, the pieces should also end up centered. The fasteners do not come in the kit. If you're making a decorative table top lazy susan you can use smaller screws. SOME of the hardware we offer is rated for fairly heavy use, in this case you will want to use bigger/stronger fasteners.
