Great question and thanks for your feedback. If you have the distronic system then I do not recommend this install. This install will deactivate your distronic functions became the sensor is build into the star.

it is possible to wire up for star to stay on... but I wired mine this way for the star to turn on when I start the car

what fuse did you put it to? is it fuse 105? because that’s for automatic transmission, shouldn’t you have used fuse 108 which is for LED lamp

Yes! star is On when car is On… you can wire light directly to headlights via wire tapping which takes more work for same style.

Great question. I have seen a non-OEM LED star installed on a GL model. The Vendor who I purchased my LED star from is linked below in the description from eBay. The LED star comes with wires / full kit. I had to purchase fuse tap adapters separate. This star size is for the W205 W218 CLASS C CLS CLS550 CLS63 C350.

If your car has the intelligent package I believe you get the distronic plus feature. Distronic plus is basically adaptive cruise control. But I honestly wouldn’t know if a car has distronic plus until I’m about to crash out lol 😂

I installed the fuse in slot #105. Which only illuminate when I turn on car, remote start which Mercedes Me app. You would have to look at your vehicle fuse diagrams to learn which fuse needed to patch into your locator lighting feature.

Yes same method but the only difference is the fuse location that you’ll need to tap.

You could use a test light pin to see which fuse would match or be best to tap into. You can find one on Amazon.

It allows you to tap into the daytime running lights, it comes with the 5amp fuse for safety I’ve haven’t had any issues after reinstalling multiple times.

@@FASTLANEYT I was looking to do the same thing on my 2017 GLC300 but after looking at the fuse diagram, position #105 (fuse you chose to tap in to) is for the Automatic transmission fluid auxiliary oil pump control unit. I think it's the same for the C300 in your video. Can you confirm? Thanks

@@cobras559 lol I said the same. idk which fuse the dealers use, however I know it’s possible to tap into the fuse that provides locater lighting, same lighting that turn on when you unlock car to provide a lighted walk path, located on the door handles during night, if that doesn’t work try buying a test light pen Car Truck Voltage Circuit Tester 6V 12V 24V DC Electrical Car Test Volt Met Long Probe Pen to find correct fuse: Light Bulb www.amazon.com/dp/B07MKMZX86/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_W9F9GFRBB6VJCMC1JMEJ

Save yourselves fruitless time and money: NONE of these illuminated stars work on an AMG because of the integrated sensor behind the OEM star. Even if it dimensionally “fits” the stock grill (of a C-Class, or whatever base model Benz,) the AMG model nearly never accepts “multi-fit” aftermarket items. You’ll thank me later.
