This works, but, I strongly recommend to find out which of the two ends under the fuse is output and hook it up to the output. That way it will be protected by the fuse. If you plug it into the input/before the fuse, you could potentially burn something if the emblem shorts. If it’s plugged after the fuse in the output, the fuse will protect you on this emblem as well.
I have a 2006 ML350. Would that application work on our older model? I know that there’s a different size LED star badge for different vehicle models. Any insights?
Don’t plug the power in on the direct side off the fuse. Only the after part of the fuse so when or if the fuse blows it don’t start a fire in case the red gets pinched. Hook it on the after part of the fuse.
Thank you for the video. So helpful. Can you tell me if the black wire that you connected the star to came with the star that you purchased or was that already in the car behind the grille? I’m not the brightest with cars and especially wiring but with your video I’m pretty sure I could handle this. I’m just not sure about the black wire that you plugged into. Where that came from.

@@neilpatel2590 was wondering if there is any links you know about regarding purchasing a stand alone star hood emblem? I'm replacing the flat hood emblem.
@@TimothyArmstrongamblixVR I have a 2012 ML350. The emblem is a little bit different of the 2013. Can install this logo on my 2012 ML350 or this logo is only for 2013 and higher ?
