I've seen half a dozen such videos, this is the first that actually showed the shocks being screwed down into the shock tower (and how easy it is). I was worried I would need some kind of spring compressor!

This video is a great help. Did my rear shocks without jacking up. Next shocks will be the Bilstein at Mustangplus.

Thanks for this information! I wasn't sure if I had to go through the trunk for the rear shocks or if there was enough room to access them from the inside by taking the rear bench seat out. You showed me what I needed to know. Thanks again!

Nice shock video but I'm curious what kind of weird "boat tail" rear end is on that car.... was it a fastback at one time or something????

Great videos....do you have any videos on step by step and required man power to adjust the hood of a classic Mustang. Mine is about 1/2" high in the center, and needs to be flush with the fenders. Thanks Skip

I just did this. Removing the shock tower cap was not necessary.

What is that cover that you used to cover the access hole area for the rear shocks?

+Quang B There are supposed to be plastic/rubber caps for the shock holes behind the rear seat. In this video, they only cover them with the rug from the trunk.

At what torque are you tightening the nuts?

I believe he was using Kentucky windage on the torque specs.

I just bought a front set of KYB's and plan to replace the old shocks on my 66 Mustang soon. We have a classic Mustang mechanic in town who prefers them, so that is what I'm using. There are lots of options though.

What the heck kinda Mustang is THAT?!? I have a convertible '65 and it looks NOTHING like that from the rear seat to the trunk lid! Where's the TOP?!?
