Sir, thanks you alot from Europe, I had strugling alot wiht this instalation, and even server connection with error issue, but if i was easly fallowing you, all was done and work perfectly. Thanks you again.
The error says : 'The following packages have unmet dependencies: mysql-workbench-community-dbgsym : Depends: mysql-workbench-community (= 8.0.33-1ubuntu22.04) but it is not installable', what do i do bro?
Probably the package "mysql-workbench-community-dbgsym" is dependent on "mysql-workbench-community" version 8.0.33-1ubuntu22.04, which is not currently installable. Try to to check if the Ubuntu 22.04 system meets all the necessary dependencies required for installing MySQL Workbench. Or update the system and then try installing MySQL Workbench again
Just to add to the FEDORA users, Try it if you are stuck! after running status command to check the operational status > after doing everything you are unable to solve the "Service is unoperational" or Status: "Server shutdown complete", you can try to run this command "sudo setenforce 0".
Your videos have been an incredible help as I am setting up Ubuntu on a Raspberry Pi (setting up Samba and MySQL in particular). I was just wondering if you are aware of a way that I can use MySQL Workbench on a different computer on my network to access MySQL as it is installed on my Raspberry Pi? I've read that there is an option to change a setting called 'bind-address' but my understanding is that it opens the MySQL to all remote connections whereas I would would like to restrict access to my local network only.
Thanks a lot. Take a look here, maybe it will help: MySQL - Allow remote connections from any host ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DjUD7_mJJPE.html
bro you need to be featured somewhere for this. for real i had spent like 30 minutes trying to figure this out . thank you ! I have a question tho why do i get blocked from connecting to the root connection on localhost (the connection you deleted in the start) . when i i was trying to do it on my own i couldnt figure out what was up and that threw me off a lot . anyone know how it works ?
I am glad you found this helpful 😊 As for your question it's generally recommended to create a separate user account with restricted privileges for remote connections, rather than using the root account directly. This helps to enhance security and reduce the risk of unauthorized access
