No joke, this might be the best home improvement instructional video I’ve ever seen.

I just finished installing....took me 6 hours! But not the fault of this kit, it's genius! My can didn't have any screws/holes so had to drill my own...went through 3 drill bits (trip to Menards). Not easy to do since mine is above cabinets. I also had to undo/redo a lot. I marked my spots from the mounting bracket, but it was easier to install/tighten the offset sliding brackets by themselves, then slip the mounting bracket up inside the can and lay it down over the brackets. Impossible to screw them in the way shown. Also no way to adjust the wingnuts if you have a 5' can, they hit the screws so use the nuts provided. Also had a different type light fixture than in the example so had to work around that. But it's really a great kit, I highly recommend it!

This video was much better than the instructions that came with the kit. Re the self tapping screws I used a awe and hammer to punch a hole into the make a pilot hole for the screws to bite into.

Thank goodness for this video! I used it to easily install the Can Converter. Not sure I would have been able to figure it out by following the written directions in the box but the video made it super simple!

This video makes me want to fire the highly paid electrician that said such a conversion would require major sheetrock damage. Next time I won’t ask, I’ll just do it myself and skip so called “expert advise”.

Terrible product. I'm pretty handy with these things and I slaved over this for 3+ hours and finally gave up. The provided hardware is incompatible, screw heads don't fit into their slots, the main center bar doesn't thread securely, etc. I had to constantly assemble, disassemble, and reassemble with rigged up parts to make it secure. This is like a cheap infomercial product. Great idea, terrible execution.
