How to Install Plumbing in a Slab Foundation 

If I were in a hurry I would run my water closets random long if not I would set them 1/2" below grade. The reason for that is concrete finishers tend to run concrete slightly higher around pipes. Keeping them lower means your closet flange when set will make your toilet set so much better on the finished floor. Some are so bad shims are actually needed, and that will be a life long problem of rocking toilets and leaking wax rings.

Is there not a main point of entry for the water supply in a slab house? I want to put a whole house water filtration system in and I can't find the main line. I thought it would be in the garage by the Hot water heater... but nope. Any ideas?

Is it possible/advisable to pour a slab over existing HVAC ducts? Can you explain in more detail how to prepare a water supply line?

Is it OK to have your cast iron cesspool line in the footer of my new expansion? Just put a sleeve on it? Will the weight Crack it?
