Nice 640 ford tractor. I have a 1955 650 ford tractor. You have a 4 speed transmission & I have a 5 speed transmission. If you have trouble with implement swing back & forth a set of sway bars will stop that. Watch the belly bar & driveshaft. I had the problem with a 4ft bush hog & my tractor had good brakes. Tractor supply has sway bars.👍🚜🚜🚜
Thank you! Mostly I use mine with a 6ft but behind mower and sometimes the brush hog. I don't have too much trouble out of it but don't use it as much as I should.
great vid. I justr purchased the same tractor a few weeks ago. It's all up and running now. gonna be getting that over run this weekend if they have one in stock! :D
@@lazypondfarm ok so this is how much of a novice I am. I was trying to figure out why the implements that I purchased, had long shafts. Turns out I had an overrun on the 600. Thanks for pointing it out and showing what it does. I have a 5 ft grass hog and a 5 ft rototiller along with a post-hole digger. :D Take care. By the way, I put in an electronic ignition. It just purrs when it starts now. I do need to tune it up but I will figure that out this week. I thought I may be having a problem with it bogging down but I believe I had too much down ward force on the back end when I was in low gear. Still have issues with fuel but will figure that out as I go.
I am a big time novice! However if you have any questions feel free to ask on a video or hit me up on Facebook! I have the brush hog and disc harrow for mine but really want to get more implements to use around our little farm. Mine runs pretty strong but I've got to address my cooling system problem. Hope to do it in January when Hunting season is over and there aren't many projects going on.
I think this is the best video I have come across about pto. Do you know if someone can use an Wood mill stump grinder on an pto for an old 601 ford work master. Thanks in advance!
Nice work, but wondering why you don`t have any stabilizer arms on each side? I realize that your chains help a bit, but those arms are much more effective. I see the hardware for them by the wheels.
Was the roll pin inside the over run PTO Clutch originally and you removed it prior to filming ? Did you have to drive it out? If not, where did it come from?
My Jubilee has the number of links of chain on each side at 8 and 7 just as you have installed yours. Is that for a reason the 8 and 7 or was that an accident and it just turned out that way. I have wondered whey my old tractor has one more link on the left than right.
