Hi, I'm new to your channel and subbed up. My question is after replacing the assembly, did you have to get the headlights "re-aimed", or adjusted to specs? And does the assembly kit include LED headlights? Thanks.
HI There, thanks for the sub. If you are just replacing the Bulbs you don't need to remove the assembly, and you won't have to aim it. With the AlphaRex headlights, I essentially used masking tape to mark on my garage wall where the OEM light cutoff was in case I had to align the aftermarket headlights, luckily once I installed the Alpharex lights they were spot on. Also, if the lights are off it is extremely easy to adjust them.
I have same colour Tacoma. I love it. I have already replaced my high beams with GTR Ultra 2 and the orientation is critical for reflector type applications. They are also adjustable for angle. One went in with no change but the other I has to adjust for angle. Question: with the projector type for low beam, does the angle of the led once installed matter? Does it need to sit with left and right facing horizontal? I am about to order the leds for this.
So I was going to buy these from diode but right before adding to cart it says are not DOT compliant. So I search if LED are street legal for headlights in the US and it says no. Only aux or fog lights. Kind of bums me out I really want these but i don't want to be worrying about getting pulled over...
Hey! Are these led adjustable? Planning on these or the alla fL leds due to their adustablities. Thanks hope you know what i mean! Let me know man! Great vid!
@@LinkFelton do they sell H9 in LEDs trying to find some for my 2021 TACOOO lol I see some on amazon that are marked for both H11 & H9s? So its just the same bulb?
@@cexy63s They do. Diode Dynamics website won't list the H9 or H11 as Low/High Beams for the truck. But if you just search them up you will find them. I promise they fit in the Low/High Beams and are 100% worth it. They aren't excessively bright to bother other motorist (only been flashed once) but they light the road so much better especially for my canopy roads in town. Also no, they aren't the same. They have a different brightness and housing connector.
@@cexy63s Here's the H11: www.diodedynamics.com/h11-sl1-led-bulbs-pair.html And the H9: www.diodedynamics.com/h9-sl1-led-bulbs-pair.html These are the exact ones I got and the H11's the videos shows. Also, I did not need the anti flicker diode, I don't believe we do.
