Wow, this looks easy! Not knowing about products like this, I did it the hard way. I cut and painted 1/2” EMT conduit and bored holes in the rails with a Forstner bit and homemade jig. I held the assembly together with a long piece of threaded rod and nuts concealed inside the center baluster, pulling the rails together against the balusters. These kits would’ve been so much faster!
I also purchased a 10 pack of 32 inch balusters, then noticed there is no ends with screws as the 30 pack did. When I looked at the Rona+ site it says "comes with plastic end caps" why does it say this, and what is the purpose of these end caps?
Hey Paul, it seems one item you bought was the combo pack that has the SMDRA adapters with the screws already included. The other item was the classic baluster kit, which just has balusters and plastic eng plugs. These are used for when someone pre-drills their railings. The normal baluster pack does not come with connectors with the screws, so that you can choose the stair or level rail connectors (the ones with screws).
Hi Paul, you use the SRAR baluster adapters for stairs with our pre-drilled railing product. Check out this how-to video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fUV-4sKEeRk.html
@@paulquesnel4452 Ah, yes, then you'd want to pre-drill holes about 3/4" but you may want to test out sizes to ensure the most snug fit, as these are built for our pre-drilled rails.
Hi John, a railing install can definitely be more difficult depending on the project requirements and how comfortable someone is. There are a lot of different factors that go into building a railing, which is why we say the planning portion is important, but also that sometimes it can be easier to work with a contractor or deck building in your area. We also have two products that make railing building a bit easier, our rectangular balusters which surface mount to the rails, and our Pre-Drilled kits.
@@NuvoIronVideos My next project is this: I've currently got 2x2 wood ballusters on our deck & want to upgrade to the metal ballusters. I had a friend who just gave me for free 55 of the 3/4 inch O.D. black ballusters becuase his wife wanted the 2x2 wood ballusters for thier deck. I should be able to "pre-mark" the centers where each balluster is, remove the lower 2x4, pre-drill & mount the hardware for the ballusters on top & bottom, then re-install the lower 2x4 (With help) and transform our deck.
This is only easy when you have 10 or less my staircase has 32 set at 3.75 inches and I have been fighting with it in my off time for two weeks these suck anyone that plans to buy these chose something else if you can’t afford the prebuilt set
Try reaching out to our customer service team to see if they can offer any additional tips for this scenario. info@nuvoiron.com. Provide them any photos or info you have for them to provide you some feedback to make the install easier.
@@NuvoIronVideoshow the hell do you install the stairs railing with 12 spindles. Finally made it after numerous times trying it. Not impossible but damn frustrating.
Let me suggest something. If you drill the holes in top rail about 11/2 " and push spindles up and back down in bottom rail should be a bit easier, A bit easier!!
