I second this! You should definitely it on the tighter end before throwing the lever. I was kinda disappointed to find out this mount is made my UTG which isn't exactly known for the best stuff. Definitely gonna be trying Midwest or a Mastermount at some point.

Glad to help! I know this isn't perfect, but as someone who works in tech/engineering for a living, I believe documentation is a worthwhile investment for any product you intend for others to use. Big oversight on Zastava's part, especially due to the unique nature of the component.

Dunno. A lot of scope mounts don't sit too far on the rifle unless they are scout rifle-type mounts. I'd be a bit concerned if it sat further myself, but I wonder what that extra space is for. Let us know!

@@d30gaijin I just made this for myself and some friends, and shared it because we figured it was better than the absolute nothing available from Zastava on the topic. I'd welcome people to do a better job, but I'd advise them to explain these things like you would to children, since most gun people are not hardcore enthusiasts like this guy.

I see what Bruno L is saying in the video. I think Plisken you’re more of a hands-on person rather than having someone explain it because I’m the same way. Someone can explain something all day to me but I won’t be able to pick it up until I actually start getting hands on with it

@@bigb63fsu I am hands on but this mount isn't that hard to put on the M70. Its very easy.

Yes the Zastava/UTG mount will work on the M77. I have one on my M77.

Yep, I got it on as well. It's both for M70 and M77 and I got it on the M77. It took a few minutes to "figure it" but it definitely fits on.

What about m90?

Check at 1:10 for an explanation of where you place the mount, on the rifle's mount adapter (left side). You can try following as I do in the video at 3:00. If it takes a lot of force and you can't snugly pull the mount on before locking it, you need to widen the space in the spring-loaded mechanism on the bottom, which I also explain how to do here. Ideally, you should have just enough space that you can slide the mount on with some resistance, with a bit of space left at the front (as I also describe in the video). If you have just enough space, you should be able to pull the lever from the left side to the right side with your thumb, and click it into place on the dimple on the right side.
