SLIPPER CLUTCH VS NORMAL CLUTCH :
Here we have installed the slipper clutch on the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V version 1 which had regular clutch. In this video we have explained in detailed about slipper clutch installation on the TVS Apache 200. This is a detailed video with step by step guide/tutorial on changing the clutch on motorcycle. The video includes clutch changing tutorial right from the engine oil change, oil filter, oil cooler, clutch cable removal, clutch casing, sping, dowel pin, clutch adopter pin, steel ball, clutch nut, thrust washer, clutch spring, clutch plates, pressure plates, clutch shaft, Clutch casing gasket etc.
After fixing the clutch the video shows slipper clutch demo on the TVS Apache RTR 200. Right now very few motorcycles in India have slipper clutch starting from the Apache 200, Dominar 400, Ninja 300 etc.

Hi Srinivash, The RR 310 has a different clutch assembly so this one won't fit.

@Shrinivash Murugesh , the bs6 model comes with a slipper clutch, you can source that from the new model to tours, would be a direct fit.

You made the whole process look simple 😁 I wonder why only few manufacturers include slipper clutch as a premium offering. Sometimes they include premium features in the same motorcycles that are sold abroad whereas they skip them in the local edition as if the biker community in our country has inferior value. They might argue that it's part of cost cutting but then at least it should come as an option. We indians even though say that we have plenty of choices in motorcycles but careful comparison with other countries reveals that it's not a prudent thing to say.

Last year in January I got my RTR200, same matte black colour as you :-) Soon after that Race Spec 2.0 edition was available in the market and I was wondering if I should have waited for a month or so more but you my friend have answers for all my doubts. Hi Prakhar, The RTR 160 4V does shares a lot of parts in common (as shown in the video). Only thing I have doubt about is the clutch housing and the number of clutch plates which more here.

Everything was perfect! Good Job. Just avoid using the impact to remove the clutch nut, instead use an clutch holder! Hammering the crank is not a good idea, also a ball park about the casing bolts and clutch nut torques would be good. Else ppl will jst end up over tightening the casings and wont tighten the clutch nut enough!

As like the sportztourer said, most of the parts in rtr twins and 200 are same. The have similar design, except balancer shaft on 200. That is the reason why 200 does not have 6th gear.

Guys i just successfully installed the new slipper clutch with the given instructions and trust me it WORKED 😍....the pickup is class and gearshift is good and backtorque has gone down.....P.S my bike tripped 20k before assembly so i saw the diff..... #dont try this if you have no proper knowledge of the clutch assembly and tools....i wud suggest a local mechanic guidance😆.....thanks@thesportstoure

Hi bro. My bike(Honda Hornet 2.0) was equipped with a normal clutch. The new model same engine spec comes with a slipper clutch. Can I install it on my bike? What's your advice I really want to know. Your videos are great bro.😊

Hi buddy. The mechanic who installed this in my bike told me to that the last plate on the clutch (power plate he said) needs to be repositioned to fit the housing. And it's absolutely necessary. Is that correct ? I asked him not to do it as you didn't suggest it. Please let me know what you think about this.
